Google is one of the first companies to support iOS 16 Widget. Today, Gmail and Google News also joined the support ranks. Apple users can now access the App Store, download or update these two applications, and get a brand new Widget experience.

Take Gmail as an example. In addition to regular widgets of different sizes, the app also supports a single-line widget experience similar to Weather apps. With this mode, Gmail can display the number of new messages next to the date.

As more and more applications have increased support for iOS Widget, the biggest problem encountered during use is the function itself. Users cannot add more than four standard widgets and single-line versions at the top of the screen. Additionally, Apple only allows standard sizes, so taking Google News as an example, you're seeing very limited content.
