There are several universities near my house. More than ten years ago, a college student rented one of the bedrooms of my house. He is a computer student at a nearby university. Because my family only rents one bedroom, we live under the same roof.
He rented his house in my four years in college. Gradually, I became very familiar with him and didn’t even care whether he paid the rent or not! He basically didn't go to classes for four years in college. According to his words, he couldn't understand the lessons taught by the teacher! So, he passed by in a daze in four years of college.
I don’t know if he has obtained his graduation certificate, but he definitely didn’t work as an programmer !
In the year he was about to graduate, I wanted to learn programming, but my main course was not computer, so I was a little hesitant whether to study it.
I still remember what he said to me when he learned that I wanted to learn programming, which means that programming is too difficult, so I advised me not to learn it, and it was a waste of effort!
But in the end, I went to learn programming and became a real programmer after graduation!
It’s quite hard for me to learn programming. Basically, I can’t remember what the teacher said, so I took a stupid approach, that is, I believe that diligence can make up for my shortcomings! So, during the time I was learning programming, I basically focused all my energy on programming, and I slept for a few hours every day, and I was understanding and practicing at the rest of my time!
It can be said that without my persistence, what I might be doing now!
Recently, I met a young lady. She was known to me when I was teaching some college students about programming. Because she said there were some questions that needed to be asked frequently, we added contact information to each other.
This young lady is in her sophomore year this year and is specializing in software engineering . Because we have to learn everything in professional courses, such as Java, .Net, JavaScript, HTML, etc., basically all the mainstream technologies, frameworks, and software in their schools.
may be taught in a complicated way, so it is slow to absorb. In addition, she is a girl, so it is even more difficult to learn.
One day at almost nine o'clock in the evening, she suddenly found me. Because it was summer vacation, she had been bothering her for a day because of a problem, and she had no choice but to find me!
I think of a girl who is on summer vacation and doesn't play like everyone else, but studies the code and research it all day. This kind of endurance is quite similar to mine before! So, I helped her solve the problems in the code and explained the relevant logic of the code to her.
In fact, the whole process was almost eleven o'clock. She thanked me and said that she would absorb it again!
I saw that she didn't want to rest yet, so I advised her to rest as soon as possible. But she said that she needed to absorb what I told her as soon as possible, otherwise she would probably forget when she woke up the next day!
is like this. In the days that followed, she often asked me some programming-related questions. Moreover, I often study and absorb what the teacher said and what I said alone, and often go to bed until very late.
Generally speaking, most of the time she looks for me after 8 o'clock in the evening. No matter what she was doing before 8 o'clock, at least she could insist on studying code by herself when she had time. This kind of resilience in learning programming is worthy of praise!
Although I don’t have a lot of contact with her, every time she comes to me, during our conversation, I can feel the progress of her programming technology!
Because I have been in the industry and have taught many people, sometimes I need to constantly give examples to the other party in order to try to let the other party understand what I said.
However, during the communication with her, I could clearly feel that she could understand most of my programming terms! The longer the time, the fewer the communication barriers will be!
I also asked her, many girls can’t learn programming well, why she persists. The answer she gave me was that she wanted to be a programmer in the future, but because the teacher taught too much, she had to work hard in secret if she wanted to absorb it well!
She also told me that the other female classmates in the same class were basically given up.Those students who gave up just think that they can’t learn well no matter what, and it’s better to focus on other things! But she didn't believe in this evil, and felt that things were done by man, and divine hard work was rewarded!
The story of Miss html is all about this, back to myself. When I was planning to learn programming, I was also quite nervous! Because everyone around me told me that programming is difficult to learn and programmers are difficult to be!
But now looking back, it is not too difficult. The only thing is that you can't pass this level! Therefore, the young lady’s enthusiasm for learning is worth learning from by many people who are learning programming. I also think that this young lady will definitely become a qualified programmer in the future!
There are actually two ways to learn programming, retreat when you see the difficulties and advance when you see the difficulties! I don’t think there is anyone who can’t learn programming well, but the only thing they want to learn programming!
