However, when using any APP now, you need to register and log in before you can use more functions. Internet user account information has become an important carrier for hundreds of millions of netizens to express themselves. But at the same time, behaviors such as fabricating and spreading false information through registration and use of account information often occur. In order to strengthen the management of Internet user account information, on June 27, the State Internet Information Office issued the "Internet User Account Information Management Regulations".

"Internet User Account Information Management Regulations"

"Regulations" clarify that when registering and using accounts, Internet information service providers should formulate and disclose Internet user account management rules and platform conventions in accordance with laws, administrative regulations and relevant national regulations. Sign a service agreement with Internet users to clarify the rights and obligations related to the registration, use and management of account information; the registration and use of account information by Internet individual users, if it contains professional information, should be consistent with the individual's true professional information; the registration and use of account information by Internet institutional users , should be consistent with the name, logo, etc. of the institution, and consistent with the nature of the institution, business scope, and industry type to which it belongs.

At the same time, Internet users shall not engage in the following circumstances when registering and using accounts:

1. Counterfeiting, counterfeiting, or fabricating the names and logos of political parties, party, government, and military organs, enterprises, institutions, people's organizations, and social organizations;

2. Counterfeiting, counterfeiting, Fabricate the names, logos, etc. of countries (regions) and international organizations;

3, counterfeit, counterfeit, fabricate the names, logos, etc. of news websites, newspapers, radio and television agencies, news agencies and other news media, or use "news", "reports" without authorization ” and other names, logos, etc. with news attributes;

4, counterfeit, counterfeit, or maliciously associate with geographical names, logos, etc. of important spaces such as national administrative regions, institutional locations, landmark buildings, etc.;

5, in order to harm public interests or seek improper gains. For the purpose of profit, etc., deliberately include QR codes, URLs, emails, contact information, etc., or use homophones, homophones, similar words, numbers, symbols and letters, etc.;

6, containing misnames, exaggerations, etc. that may deceive or misunderstand the public. The content;

7, contains other content prohibited by laws, administrative regulations and relevant national regulations.

This regulation will take effect on August 1, 2022. If the relevant regulations promulgated before the implementation of these regulations are inconsistent with these regulations, these regulations shall prevail.
