It is impossible to verify whether the story is true or false. In the story, there is an ancient official named Mr. Ma . Mr. Ma published a message saying that a government servant beat an old man in his seventies.
Therefore, the people were aggrieved for the old man and said that the government officials were cruel. A few days later, there was news that the old man was beaten because he was an enemy spy.
So the people felt that the old man was beaten at his own fault, and they sided with the government officials.
Then a few days later, Mr. Ma said that the old man was being cheated because his son had no money to get married, and the people sympathized with the old man again.
But is this really the case?
There is no such thing. Why did Master Ma make up this story?
Why would people believe this story if it is false?
I personally think that we modern people are sometimes like the ancient people in the story, blindly treating the people and things mentioned in the story without judging the authenticity of the thing ourselves.
So people often encounter scammers.
People's attitude of following wind and rain often remains unchanged for hundreds of years, which leaves room for lies to survive.
Dear readers, if you lived in that era and heard such a story, would you believe it? Let me know in the comment section.
Dear readers, do we have such false stories in our lives?
