Meta Ford Artest, born on November 13, 1979 in Queens, New York, New York, USA, is an American professional basketball player and plays as a small forward.
In the 1999 NBA Draft, Artest was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick in the first round. He played for the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks in his career. On October 24, 2017, he announced his retirement. Artest averaged 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.74 steals per game in his career.
