He graduated from Northeast Forestry University (now Northeast Forestry University) in 1960 and stayed at the school to teach after graduation. He once served as the director of the Animal Teaching and Research Office of the Forestry Department of Northeast Forestry University, the deputy director of the Forestry Department of Northeast Forestry University, the director of the Wildlife Department of Northeast Forestry University, and the dean of the School of Wildlife Resources of Northeast Forestry University.
