In order to avoid casualties of wild animals due to hunger and cold, Nilek County actively puts out feed to ensure that wild animals have enough food to survive the winter safely.
The reporter saw a group of wild ducks playing on the Kashgar River on the river. Sometimes they dived their heads into the water to look for food, and sometimes they flew low over the water. It was very lively. Staff from the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau brought crushed corn to the river and spread it evenly on the edge of the area where wild ducks often appeared, entertaining these "distinguished guests" with the "food" that wild ducks love to eat.
Huang Chengjun, a cadre of the Urban Management Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau said: " There are more and more wild protected animals coming to our county to spend the winter, especially wild ducks, which are several times more than in previous years. In order to allow the wild ducks to spend the winter safely in Nilek County, our Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau arranges staff to regularly release food to the wild ducks every day to ensure that the wild ducks can find food even in the cold winter.”
In order to effectively protect the safety of wild duck populations and habitats, and effectively deal with the difficulties caused by low temperatures and snowfall in winter for wild animals to feed, Nilek County has carried out artificial feeding operations and set the feeding site in the Kashgar River Basin where wild ducks often inhabit.
