This site (Reporter Wang Bo, Correspondent Wang Xiaolu) Recently, the China Association for Science and Technology Life Science Society unveiled the list of candidates for the "Youth Talent Recruitment Project" project in the field of life sciences in 2022-2024. Lin Xiaodan, associate professor of the School of Plant Protection of our school, was successfully selected and received China Association for Science and Technology funding.
It is understood that the "Youth Talent Support Project" project was launched and implemented by the China Association for Science and Technology in 2015. The project adopts a method of rewards instead of subsidies and stable support to vigorously support young scientific and technological talents over 30 years old with great innovation capabilities and development potential, helping them achieve outstanding results in the golden period of creativity, and to grow into an important reserve force for high-level leading talents and high-level innovation teams in the country's major science and technology fields.
The 8th "Youth Talent Recruitment Project" selected Lin Xiaodan's style:
Lin Xiaodan, associate professor and master's supervisor at the School of Plant Protection, Hainan University, and selected by the 8th China Association for Science and Technology Youth Talent Recruitment Project. He is currently in charge of 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, 1 Youth Fund of Hainan Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project, and 3 other horizontal projects; the main research directions include: pollinator insect and plant co-evolution , insect absorption oral organ origin and evolution, vegetative insect and plant damage traces, and miteperata insect system classification, etc. A total of 10 academic papers have been published, and 34 SCI papers have been published as the first author, including 1 Nature Communications and eLife; 1 authorized utility model patent; 1 English monograph was published; and has won 5 scientific research awards such as the 9th Youth Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Entomology Society, 2019 Science Achievement Award of NMNH, Smithsonian Institution, etc.
