"How terrible is glioma?"

[Glioma] is a malignant tumor of the brain, this year I have experienced it personally.

1. The first signs of onset:

At the end of March this year, my left hand suddenly experienced abnormal perception, and I always felt numbness . It seemed that it was not my own hand. At first, a few fingers could not move normally, and one broke while washing the dishes. I didn’t feel right and I went to the hospital, but at that time the guidance desk asked me to go to the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Inspection of. Therefore, a series of EMG examinations (still waiting for a long time) showed that it might be cervical compression (the MRI showed that cervical spine herniation is a little bit. But the chief doctor said it is not serious), so proceed. After one week of physical therapy (infrared, interference electricity, thermotherapy, and traction), there was almost no improvement after one week of treatment. In the second week, the director opened for another week. After two consecutive weeks, it happened to be a holiday on May 1st. ,

2. Too much pressure makes the condition deteriorate rapidly.

5.1 During the holidays, due to the company's project needs, even though I was at home, I was still in a fully online standby state. In particular, the project at that time required the Chinese team and the Singapore team to jointly complete, but in reality, there are many communication barriers . The work could not be completed at all, and the pressure was very high. As a result, I suddenly woke up one day and found that my left hand was almost completely unable to move.

3. From the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine to the Department of Neurology.

When I went to the director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department to diagnose me again in early May, I began to find that something was wrong. He said that if it was a cervical spine problem, it was impossible to treat it and it was still getting worse, so the director suggested that I go to a neurology expert.

The neurologist immediately opened my head CT scan. On the same day, I checked the hand clinic checked my hand and told me that my left hand was completely paralyzed.

The next day after I found out that there was indeed a shadow on the head, I opened the [enhanced MRI examination] again.

Four. The bad news really came.

5.13 I saw the results of the MRI examination on the hospital's public account. At that time, the report was about tumors. At this time, I almost broke down. I couldn't face it by myself. For so long, I had been going to the hospital by myself at night and I couldn't hold back. I asked my husband to accompany me to the doctor the next day.

On 5.14, the neurologist confirmed with me that it is indeed a tumor in the brain. He directly did not have any advice on how to deal with it. He just suggested to go to neurosurgery to see if it can be surgically removed. Because it is a brain surgery, I asked if I was worried. There is a risk, I did not expect the physician to tell me. There must be, so it is recommended that we go directly to Shanghai Huashan Hospital neurosurgery (the most authoritative neurosurgery in the country).

After listening to the doctor’s tone, my husband and I were frightened. We sat outside the waiting room for a long time before regaining our senses. Then we hurried to the Health Cloud to make an appointment with the neurosurgery specialist of Huashan Hospital. It’s difficult to make an appointment. The fastest is 10 days later. Fortunately, I can arrange an appointment with a professor with a special needs clinic.

5.25 came to the Huashan Hospital neurosurgery professor Yu Ji clinic. He didn’t expect that as soon as he saw the film, he said: surgery can help you Open, but your hands and feet function still can’t be preserved, you can only save your life.

At that time, we didn't know how to express, so we could only ask the doctor to help me maintain my life! Unexpectedly, the doctor said. How long it will last is uncertain. It almost broke us again, and also said that the tumor is very malignant. So it completely attacked the motor nerves of my left limb so quickly.

5. Admission to the hospital for surgery.

I was admitted to the Shanghai Huashan Hospital East Hospital on May 26 and the neurosurgery operation was scheduled for June 2.

The operation was pretty smooth. My recovery after the operation was also very fast. I was discharged from the hospital more than a week later.

6. Follow-up radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Because glioma is a malignant tumor, the doctor’s treatment plan must be [radiotherapy and chemotherapy. ] So I transferred to the radiotherapy department of the West Hospital of Huashan Hospital,After the recommendation of the doctor team. I need to receive 30 consecutive radiotherapy sessions, and I have to take it with chemotherapy drugs during the radiotherapy period.

During this period, the body really experienced great pain. Every morning after going to radiotherapy, people are very tired, have no energy and appetite, and sleep well. There is also a slight headache, plus the chemotherapy drugs that affect the entire digestive system, and almost no day is able to defecate normally. The feeling is indescribable.

7. Finally, the course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy ended on September 15th. The body cells were almost completely killed, and the white blood cells and lymphocytes decreased rapidly. The doctor asked me to go home and rest for 28 days before going for an MRI and blood routine examination.

8. I went home and made up for a week.

I have to eat almost 2 hours a day, just like a baby, except for normal meals every day. I also added a lot of nutrients. Such as trace elements, seaweed, bird's nest, etc.

Finally, the physical state is now restored.

Nine, autonomous rehabilitation training.

Now I am undergoing physical training with the help of a rehabilitator, and I have made a lot of progress after one month in a row. The completely paralyzed left hand can now hold the small wooden stick with the help of the right hand. . And the rehabilitator said that I still have a chance to return to society. This makes me feel very happy

[Why do I get sick? ]

Honestly. I always think that I have been paying attention to my lifestyle, why do I still get this disease? When I was in the hospital, I saw many patients with glioma like me, and they were younger than me menopause . There was a boy who was only 19 years old and was originally studying in the United States. And just got a degree. As a result, he was admitted to the hospital for local epilepsy and found a glioma, so he was sent back to China for treatment.

I concluded that the biggest reason for me is probably the relationship of stress, coupled with the influence of radiation from our mobile phones (almost 24 hours a day, mobile phones are not away from the body. And most of the time they are on standby online, and there is no habit of turning off the phone at night. .Just put it on the head of the bed.

Therefore, under the catalysis of various factors, the body can no longer hold it.

[For the prevention of glioma, it is strongly recommended that modern people pay attention to it]

1. Reduce your own pressure.

No matter how we work and live, we modern people are under great pressure, especially the middle-aged and young people around 40 years old, there are old people and small high-pressure people, we must learn to release pressure. Maintain a good sleep.

2. Reduce the use of mobile phones. Especially when you sleep at night, don’t put your mobile phone beside the bed. It is impossible to turn on the flight mode ✈️, especially the smarter the mobile phone, the more radiation.
