NASA and ESA data reveal a huge extreme planet that has the ability to "bounce" its parent star and distort astronomical measurements.
According to a group of scientists led by Dr. Nikoleta Ilic of the Potsdam Institute of Astrophysics in Leibniz, Germany, these are " Hot Jupiter " located very close to their home star.

These are gas giant planets , about as big as our own Jupiter, but very hot because they are very close to their home planet. These worlds are unlikely to have life, but they still attract a lot of interest because they have many strange properties and can affect the formation of other planets in the system.
In this new study, astronomers found that some calculations of the hot Jupiter star system may be misleading because parent star looks "younger" than usual.
"By comparing a star with nearby planets to binary stars without planets, we can study the behavioral differences of stars of the same age" - The analysis cited by scientific news is led by co-author Katja Poppenhaeger, who is also from the Potsdam Institute of Astrophysics in Leibniz.
They observed 10 pairs of stars in the NASA Chandra X-ray Observatory data and 6 other pairs of stars from ESA XMM-Newton Observatory. The results show that in each couple, the stars with hot Jupiter always seem to be younger than the binary.
The reason is that the powerful tidal forces of these hot gas giants act on their parent star, making the stars spin faster and more vibrant, just like a way to stop time.
Like humans, young stars often spin rapidly and vibrantly, decelerating as they age. So if we only apply traditional observation formulas, we might mistake these hot Jupiters’ “mothers” for younger than their actual age.
This discovery points to the necessary changes in astronomical observations that scientists must consider when studying planetary systems with hot Jupiter in the future and provide an interesting puzzle for the future. They also tuned into their home star in some mysterious and interesting ways.
