The multimodal cross-scale biomedical imaging facility project in the field of biomedical imaging in my country was completed in Huairou Science City, Beijing on the 3rd. In the future, the structure and functions of living organisms will be depicted and accurately measured across scales, visually, to provide imagingomic research methods for research on complex life science problems and major diseases, and to help panoramic research and analysis of major scientific problems in biomedical .
This project is one of the 10 priority construction projects determined by the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of Major National Science and Technology Infrastructure". It is jointly built by Peking University , together with the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin Institute of Technology , University of Science and Technology and other units. The total investment of the project is 1.717 billion yuan, the construction land is 100 mu, and the new construction area is 72,000 square meters. The project is expected to be trial-operated in 2023 and accepted in 2024.
Imaging facilities have extensive demands in scientific research, medical care, education and industry. In the research on major biomedical issues that require "visible, clear, and early", multimodal cross-scale imaging technology plays an important role.

Chen Liangyi, deputy director of the National Center for Biomedical Imaging Science at Peking University, said.
It is reported that the imaging facility project mainly includes multimodal medical imaging devices, multimodal live cell imaging devices, multimodal high-resolution molecular imaging devices, full-scale image data integration systems, and auxiliary platforms and supporting facilities such as model animals. In the future, outstanding teams in related fields will be gathered to establish complete core imaging facilities to form a full-function research platform for cross-scale, multimodal, automated and high-throughput biomedical imaging.
