Shihezi University Medical School Chronic Disease Epidemiology Research Team has carried out scientific research, talent training and social services with regional characteristics based on the causes, epidemic laws, comprehensive prevention and control, health education, and the promotion and application of high-incidence chronic diseases in Xinjiang. In recent years, more than 20 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels have been approved, more than 40 high-level academic papers have been published, and 1 first prize, second prize and third prize of the Corps Science and Technology Progress. In terms of the research and application of the etiology and prevention and control technology of metabolic syndrome with high incidence of Uyghur and Kazakhs in Xinjiang, the team studied the prevalence and influencing factors such as metabolic syndrome and component obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, dyslipidemia, and . For the first time, it proposed the appropriate waist circumference point for the diagnosis of high-incidence metabolic syndrome in Xinjiang, revealing the relationship between genes or the interaction with the environment and metabolic syndrome, and for the first time, the role of inflammation, sugar metabolism, and lipid metabolism-related factors in the metabolic syndrome and the occurrence of components was reported, and appropriate technology for the comprehensive prevention and control of high-incidence metabolic syndrome in Xinjiang was constructed.
In terms of cardiovascular disease risk prediction research, the team built a cardiovascular disease risk prediction model for the first time, reported the application value of the prediction model , and built a visual cardiovascular disease risk prediction tool.
In recent years, the team has sent more than 200 backbone and graduate students, helped more than 20,000 people in northern and southern Xinjiang to conduct health examinations, conducted more than 30 popular science lectures on chronic diseases, and prepared and distributed more than 10,000 popular science albums and calendars. The free clinic for cardiovascular disease risk prediction carried out by the team benefited more than 5,000 people and generated more than 3 million yuan in economic benefits; more than 100 grassroots medical and health personnel were trained, and more than 5,000 people were indirectly benefited.
