The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the award to French physicist Alain Aspect, American theoretical and experimental physicist John F. Clauser and Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger for their contributions to the research of quantum information science .
It is reported that three scientists used the photon entanglement experiment to determine that the Bell inequality is not true in the quantum world, and pioneered the discipline of quantum information .
