There is an "ultimate three questions" in the philosophy community, namely: Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? In fact, the scientific community has had answers to these three questions, but because the description language is not systematic enough, most humanities scholars have not accepted it. For the first time, Mr. Yuan Xihao combined science and philosophy, and for the first time he answered the "ultimate three questions" in systematic language.
Only after solving the "ultimate three questions" can human beings establish a new humanistic and philosophical system. Why must we establish a brand new humanistic and philosophical system? Because with the rapid development of science, philosophy has completely lost its pace of science. The old philosophy that sticks to the rules is dead. If the scientific system cannot be introduced, philosophy will never have a future. Therefore, the vital philosophy of the future must be a philosophy with science as the underlying design. Without or rejecting science as a philosophy of grassroots design, it will inevitably be easy and natural to move forward.
. With the continuous advancement of science, human beings have completely liberated their productivity and surpassed the original ecological niche in nature. This is not to become the so-called "top of the ecological chain", but to completely surpass the ecological chain, which is also an unprecedented event in the entire universe. And all the old humanistic thoughts was not prepared for this. Because the previous humanities did not use science as the underlying design, and some even contained anti-scientific factors. The reason is that science does not allow nonsense, while humanities allow or even encourage nonsense. This creates a common and steep situation where humanities scholars often have misunderstandings and hostility towards science. And these humanities do not have the ability to provide sufficient intellectual support for human progress in the era of scientific civilization - or even the opposite.
Because the old humanistic thoughts always bear the negative side that hinders the development of human society, we will always encounter ten times, hundred times, and thousand times fierce criticism every time we go further. From opposing nuclear power and 5G base station , to demonizing genetically modified technology , to opposing the application of high-energy electron colliders, artificial intelligence , vaccines and CRISPR technology technology to human embryos... Science every difficult pushes human civilization forward, always welcomes the overwhelming slander, distortion, abuse and doubts of old humanities scholars.
Old humanities scholars are mostly anti-science
So, what kind of new humanities can provide intellectual support to humans? Can religion do such a job? Absolutely not possible. Mr. Yuan Xihao believes that it must be an emerging humanistic philosophy designed with science as the underlying layer, a kind of "the integration of science and humanities to create a new philosophy" that philosophers dream of. That is, "natural human philosophy".
Regarding the importance of this "natural human philosophy", the author wrote an article to explain:
We hope that this small step we take on the road of philosophical scientificization can trigger a situation where studying philosophical problems under the natural science paradigm can make it conform to the axiomatic assumption as the basis of science: there is an objective fact that all rational observers can share; this objective fact is determined by natural laws (laws); these natural laws (laws) can be discovered through systematic observations and experiments. Then, philosophers will inevitably reach an agreement on the core events of truth in the field of philosophy, so that philosophy will definitely be comparable to the progress made in mathematics and experimental science, and philosophy will then enter "the physical world is orderly and understandable." Therefore, it can be expected that a new era of philosophy will surely come.
"The Third Nature of Homo sapiens"
Under the natural science paradigm, philosophy can integrate knowledge with natural science and with many humanities and social disciplines. This is expected to achieve great integration of human knowledge and cultural corrections. As John Brockman said, scientists and thinkers in the empirical world have built a third culture through their work and works. The era of the third culture has arrived, and the conditions for redefining "who are we, what are we?" have begun to be met. This will start the third Enlightenment campaign called by Wilson, and use the knowledge and wisdom of all mankind to produce correct vision and wise choices to solve the philosophical crisis, human crisis and biosphere crisis we face.
Yuan Xihao also repeatedly described this clear concept to readers in his book "The Third Nature of Homo sapiens":
Philosophy is dead, and there is no way out if we do not study philosophical problems in the method of natural science. And the "natural human philosophy" of "Homosa is the Third Nature" provides a possibility.
I think his statement can stand the test of history.
Human evolution
Below, I excerpt a chapter in "The Third Nature of Homo sapiens", which has an in-depth description of "the essential difference between humans and animals". He believes that the essential difference between humans and animals is that: Human species is the only animal with a "third nature" in nature that has clearly "crossed the boundary" -
" All living things live around survival and reproduction. All biological individuals have at most two basic natures, namely survival and reproduction, and we were no exception. But the fact that crosses the boundary shows that in addition to survival and reproduction, we have an important biological characteristic of greed, empirical and empirical nature. There is reason to think that what distinguishes us from all animals is this empirical and empirical nature. This is our Archimedes point, which is the third nature that we evolved in addition to survival and reproduction."
