Recently, in the 2022 National University Biological Network Design Competition ( Huawei Cup) National Finals, which ended at Hunan University , the "Step-by-step" team composed of Hao Zhengtong and Chen Haolong, a 2020-grade microelectronics science and engineering major, led by Li Xunshuan, Liu Guipeng, and Jin Zhiwen, a teacher at the School of Physical Science and Technology of Lanzhou University, won the first prize in the country. This is also the third time that the School of Physical Science and Technology has won the first prize in the country after 2019 and 2020.

The team's entry is a "multi-channel DC motor closed-loop control system" with "accurate control speed, diverse control modes, and convenient portability". It can control and adjust the speed of 4 DC motors at the same time, and each motor will automatically adjust the voltage when the environment changes to ensure the constant motor speed. This control system solves the practical problem of speed differences in DC motors due to mechanical structure and has broad application prospects.
National University Biological Network Design Competition is sponsored by the National Higher Education Computer Education Research Association and one of the most large-scale and influential events in the field of IoT in China. A total of 1,417 teams from 571 universities including Shanghai Jiaotong University and Zhejiang University participated in the competition. After the online preliminary and sub-district finals of the Northeast, North China, Northwest China, Central China, Southwest China and East China, 163 teams selected participated in the national finals.
