The first stop, Hoh Xil
On April 25, engineers Ma Hongjie and Zhang Ning set off from Anduo County towards Golmud . It went more than 500 kilometers into the uninhabited land, reached the core area of Hoh Xil, and installed the first set of ecological stations.
The first 100 kilometers of this section are highways, and the last 400 kilometers are gravel roads. Fortunately, we were lucky, the weather was cold, the swamp mud road had not yet thawed, and the vehicle passability was relatively high. Even so, trucks still get stuck in the mud in some places and need to be towed by a trolley to move forward. There is a river near the site, and the truck can only be pulled in the general direction. "This is probably my most difficult business trip. The altitude is high and I can't breathe even if I do some heavy work because the climate is too dry. After arriving at the scene, the accommodation conditions were simple, and they stayed in a room full of debris at the wildlife protection station.
