Since 2011, researchers at Chenshan Botanical Garden have conducted in vitro culture and ramification propagation of Zhangjiajie Sage introduced to the park. So far, thousands of individuals have been obtained, and they have been discovered through phenological records. , this species can bloom and bear fruit normally in Shanghai from June to July.
Since then, researchers have conducted conservation studies such as artificial pollination and sowing harvested seeds. Recently, the sage in Zhangjiajie is in full bloom.
