Professor Zhang Haoli received his bachelor's degree in organic chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Lanzhou University in 1994. In 1999, he received a doctorate in science from the Department of Chemistry of Lanzhou University and the School of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Peking University. In 1999 and 2002, he engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Leeds and the University of Oxford respectively. In June 2004, he was hired as a professor by Lanzhou University, where he worked in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry. The main research direction is the design and synthesis of new organic semiconductor materials and organic solid-state luminescent materials. He has been published in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv.Mater. and Adv.Funct.Mater. and other international He has published more than 250 academic papers in authoritative journals. He has won the "Asian Rising Stars" award of the Asian Chemical Society and was funded by the Outstanding Youth Fund of the Natural Science Foundation of China. He is currently a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), deputy secretary-general of the Nanochemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council. He currently serves as an advisory editorial board member of Chem.Soc.Rev.
