Recently, Professor Zhang Haoli of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University , State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry served as deputy editor-in-chief of Royal Society of Chemistry Journal of Materials Chemistry C and Materials Advances.

Professor Zhang Haoli received his bachelor's degree in organic chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Lanzhou University in 1994. In 1999, he received a doctorate in science from the Department of Chemistry of Lanzhou University and the School of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Peking University. In 1999 and 2002, he engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Leeds and the University of Oxford respectively. In June 2004, he was hired as a professor by Lanzhou University, where he worked in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Functional Organic Molecular Chemistry. The main research direction is the design and synthesis of new organic semiconductor materials and organic solid-state luminescent materials. He has been published in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv.Mater. and Adv.Funct.Mater. and other international He has published more than 250 academic papers in authoritative journals. He has won the "Asian Rising Stars" award of the Asian Chemical Society and was funded by the Outstanding Youth Fund of the Natural Science Foundation of China. He is currently a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), deputy secretary-general of the Nanochemistry Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, and enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council. He currently serves as an advisory editorial board member of Chem.Soc.Rev.

Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B and C report high-quality theoretical or experimental research work in various fields of materials chemistry . The papers published in these three journals focus on reporting new understandings of materials and their properties, new applications of materials, and new methods of material synthesis. Journal of Materials Chemistry C reports on the application of materials in optics, magnetism and electronic devices. The latest SCI impact factor is 7.393, and it is a JCR Area 1 (Q1) journal.

Materials Advances was founded in 2020. It is part of the Royal Society of Chemistry (Royal Society of Chemistry, referred to as RSC) materials journal series and is an open access journal. The journal comprehensively reports experimental or theoretical research results in various fields of materials science. The published papers cover new understandings of materials as well as new applications, new properties and new synthesis methods of materials.
