On December 26, Manzhouli People’s Hospital welcomed the online review and certification of the National Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) standardized construction project. This review activity is conducted online and is divided into two parts: remote reporting and online on-site certification. The members of the review expert team are randomly selected from the national certification expert database. Hospital President Sun Li, Vice President Li Xiaohong, heads of relevant functional departments and medical staff from the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine attended the review meeting. In response to the PCCM assessment application submitted by our institute, the expert team conducted online on-site inspections one by one in strict accordance with the PCCM discipline standardized construction standards, and ensured that the assessment process was fair and impartial.
At the review meeting, President Sun Li made a report on behalf of the hospital and expressed welcome and heartfelt thanks to the two experts for reviewing and guiding the hospital’s national PCCM standardized construction project! Dean Sun introduced the overall situation of the hospital. After three years of COVID-19 epidemic, it is imperative for the hospital to promote the standardized construction of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. It is hoped that through the national PCCM standardized construction project, efforts will be made to promote the standardized construction of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, lead the discipline to develop in a more profound direction, effectively improve the level of medical treatment, and better serve the people.
Director Yu Mingxia of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine reported on the progress of PCCM standardized construction work in the form of PPT. Including the hospital's PCCM standardized construction and self-evaluation, department development history, and admission standards, department organization, personnel organization, professional level, facilities and equipment, work efficiency, radiation capabilities, medical quality and department performance, teaching and research, talent training, etc.
After the report, the expert group conducted a comprehensive online on-site inspection of the specialized outpatient clinics, respiratory comprehensive diagnosis and treatment room, pulmonary function room, respiratory endoscopy room, sleep respiratory monitoring room, RICU and general ward through video review, and assessed the business development, patient health education and guidance, and the mastery of medical professional skills. At the same time, the relevant supporting materials uploaded were also verified to verify the implementation of the PCCM standardized construction project from multiple angles and dimensions.
After the online verification, members of the expert group gave feedback on the verification and exchanged comments on related issues. The experts fully affirmed the achievements of the hospital's PCCM construction and put forward opinions and suggestions on the direction and goals of future discipline construction. It raised higher expectations for the future work construction of the hospital's PCCM discipline.
President Sun Li said that through this expert certification review, the hospital has clarified the direction and goals of discipline construction. The hospital will further accelerate the development and construction of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, improve clinical diagnosis and treatment capabilities and technical levels, promote the rapid development of the discipline, and better meet the health needs of patients with respiratory diseases.
