In July this year, the health and health system of Shibei District plans to select medical staff to support with the counterpart of Gansu Province county-level medical units. When I received the notice from the unit, I abandoned the discomfort of hard living conditions and the reluctance to leave my family, and resolutely signed up for this medical support task, because since the day I entered Medical University , saving lives and helping the wounded is my responsibility, and I have always engraved it in my heart. On August 1, I set off on my flight to Gansu, began to explore the original intention of supporting medical care, and work together to build health.
The thorough food and accommodation arrangements of the leaders of Xihe County People's Hospital and the enthusiastic care of colleagues in the department quickly helped me get through the altitude sickness and discomfort of the water and the local environment, and soon I devoted myself to normal work. Time flies, and the two months of cooperation between East and West have passed away. Based on my years of work experience, I actively applied it to the diagnosis and treatment work of the obstetrics and gynecology team of Xihe County People's Hospital. I analyzed the specific issues of and put forward some feasibility opinions and suggestions, which were recognized by department leaders and colleagues.
I am engaged in obstetrics and gynecology major. When I came to Xihe County People's Hospital, I was assigned to obstetrics and gynecology. Due to language communication problems, I mainly assisted in the diagnosis and treatment of obstetrics and gynecology clinics and wards. In the past two months, more than 400 people have been assisted in the outpatient diagnosis and treatment. According to the situation of gynecological patients, I found that there are particularly many patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding, most of which occur in middle-aged women between the ages of 40 and 55, and most of them are accompanied by moderate and severe hemorrhagic anemia. By understanding their living environment, dietary habits, reproductive history and related auxiliary examinations in detail, we provide relatively standardized diagnosis and treatment plans from various aspects such as diet, work and rest, diagnosis and treatment. Due to time issues, the short-term follow-up effect was good and was recognized by the patients.
I participated in about 20 surgeries in the ward, from simple labor induction surgery in large months to complex total hysterectomy, assisting the attending physician to explain in detail the risks of the surgery and precautions before and after surgery to the patients and their families. After many rounds after the operation, I checked the condition and learned about the recovery situation, especially after the postpartum patients, and guided and educated the precautions for postpartum recovery and the importance of breastfeeding in newborns, and changed their traditional concept of confinement care; participated in the department's difficult case discussions. In other words, based on the patient's medical history, physical examination , and auxiliary examination, I put forward my own suggestions and opinions, which were also confirmed during the operation; I participated in the emergency plan exercise in the obstetrics and gynecology department to improve the emergency response ability of the medical team; in order to further improve the ability to write medical records, I discussed writing skills and specifications with my colleagues many times in terms of main complaints, current medical history, physical examination description, differential diagnosis, etc., and was rated as an excellent medical record many times.
In order to further improve the professional capabilities of the department's medical staff, I used the weekend to choose a common obstetrics and gynecology disease - uterine fibroids, to conduct teaching and training for general practitioners. It mainly explains in detail from the overview of uterine fibroids, causes, types of degeneration, clinical symptoms, treatment principles, precautions, etc., and answers questions after class. Through this training, medical staff have gained a lot and have a more comprehensive understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of uterine fibroids.
Two months of experience in grassroots work, I deeply understand the hard work and difficulty of grassroots medical staff. Due to the influence of various factors such as technical conditions, economic conditions, hardware facilities, etc., they must use limited resources to complete more difficult tasks. This experience in medical support is also a kind of experience for me. I hope that my skills and years of work experience can bring them certain benefits and benefit more patients.
