Currently, the number of -positive patients infected with new coronavirus is gradually increasing. How should they be treated after infection? Under what circumstances do you need to go to the hospital for medical treatment? Do patients with positive symptoms need to take CT scans? In order to better respond to social concerns, on December 30, Southern+ reporters interviewed Liu Jing, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the Fifth Hospital of CUHK in Zhuhai.

Nanfang+: What symptoms are severe and critical? How do citizens judge whether they need to go to the hospital for medical treatment?
Liu Jing: There are several indicators you can refer to when judging the seriousness of the disease yourself. First, observe your own breathing rate. If you need to breathe quickly, more than 30 times per minute, to basically ensure your own oxygen supply, this needs to be paid attention to; second, if you have obvious chest pain, you feel like there is a swollen and squeezing feeling in the chest, and being short of breath is also a sign of serious illness; third, for patients with underlying diseases, if they feel that their condition has worsened, they need to seek medical treatment in time.
is aimed at young and middle-aged patients without underlying diseases. The main focus is on breathing difficulties. Generally, coughs and fatigue during the recovery process can be observed and cured at home. Some people will still have fever for 1-3 days, but if they still have high fever 5 or 6 days a week, they can also go to the hospital for treatment. For a small number of patients, the body temperature may last a little longer, but if they use up the antipyretics, they can return to normal. If they are not accompanied by other symptoms such as severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, or coughing up blood, they can be temporarily observed at home.
In addition, there are some elderly people who may not be so obvious. They may be bedridden for a long time due to some basic diseases. This requires timely observation by family members to determine whether they have symptoms such as listlessness, decreased reaction ability, decreased appetite, decreased blood pressure, etc. If these conditions occur, timely hospital treatment is also required.
Nanfang+: Some citizens have developed "COVID-19 positive" related symptoms, but they may have recovered in half a day or a day. Are these people "succumbing to the disease"?
Liu Jing: I think this group of people should still be infected, because judging from the overall spread of the new crown , if the people around them are clearly infected, even if these people have very mild symptoms, and even the nucleic acid test will not detect them, they should actually have been infected. This may be the tendency for asymptomatic infections mentioned before, or relatively very mild symptoms. From a doctor's point of view, we still tend to think that this is something that everyone will experience. It's just that everyone's antibodies or resistance and are different, so the symptoms are still different.

Nanfang+: Some people develop pneumonia after turning negative. What's going on? Do I need to do a lung CT if I have "yang"?
Liu Jing: At present, various places are at the peak period of new coronavirus infection. The pneumonia caused by virus has attracted attention. Many citizens are worried about the emergence of "white lung" and go to the hospital for CT scan. Clinically, "white lung" refers to pulmonary pulmonary edema caused by acute respiratory distress syndrome. In fact, the original concept of "white lung" actually refers to very severe severe pneumonia, in which most of the entire lungs are white. However, gradually this concept may not be so accurate due to the spread. So now we may think that we have pneumonia, and everyone thinks that we have "white lungs", but this is actually wrong.
It is true that some patients cough for a long time. After coming to the hospital for a CT scan, we found that they did have pneumonia. However, this is a mild inflammation caused by a general viral infection. If blood oxygen is not affected, the patient does not necessarily need to be hospitalized for observation. It can gradually improve after the virus is self-limited. Rest more and drink more water, and you will gradually return to normal life. Generally, the rate of developing severe pneumonia in young and middle-aged people is relatively low.
If you have a cough that lasts for more than 2 weeks, or the cough is severe, accompanied by chest pain or difficulty breathing, or blood in the sputum, etc., you can also do a CT if conditions permit to check whether you have pneumonia or other problems with the airway.
Nanfang+: Is it possible for multiple infections to occur with different strains of the new coronavirus?
Liu Jing: The possibility of is not completely absent, but different strains also belong to the same large classification of new coronaviruses. Even if there are mutations, their overall structure is similar, which means that the antibodies it produces can actually cover most of them. So in the short term, the chance of being infected with other strains after Yang Kang, and then developing very serious symptoms is theoretically relatively small. Of course, there are still many unknown things about the new coronavirus, and we also need more observations and accumulation of experience.
Nanfang+: Can I wash my hair and take a shower after being exposed to the sun? Will symptoms get worse?
Liu Jing: also depends on the situation. Everyone should pay attention to a few things when taking a bath. First, don't wash for too long or the water temperature is too hot. First of all, after you become masculine, you should pay more attention to shortening the bathing time to avoid sweating too much and consuming physical energy. Secondly, excessively high temperature will also increase the burden on the heart, because the blood vessels in the skin of the whole body are significantly expanded, and a large amount of blood flows to the skin of the whole body, which will cause ischemia and hypoxia in the heart. Especially for the elderly suffering from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, etc., too high water temperature can lower blood pressure, accelerate heart rate, increase the burden on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and cause shock.
Master the way of bathing. Bathing is not an absolute taboo. After a quick rinse and then return to your daily routine, it should have little impact overall.
