"Don't worry about me, just let me do this. He is so painful. Let him go." That night, the wife suddenly saw her husband pouring something into her young son's mouth. She knew it was pesticide...
This is the real situation of Lefeng Village in Mengla County, Yunnan Province in the 1960s.
Back then, leprosy was raging in this village, and many villagers were unfortunately infected.
Since there is no medicine, there is no doctor who can treat this disease. As long as you are infected, you will not only endure the torture of the illness, but also have to die in the end.
Therefore, as long as the sick person is isolated by the people in the village and fend for themselves. The scene at the beginning of this article often occurs, and the family has no choice but to help him understand life.
However, just as everyone was begging someone to stand up and help a bunch of these innocent poor people, Li Huanying appeared.
She came to this far-off and cheap village like an angel, bringing people hope...

Li Hengying was born in a wealthy family in Beijing in 1921. After graduating from the Medical School of Tongji University in Shanghai, she went to Hopkins University to further her studies.
She loves medicine and studies diligently. She became one of the first officials of the World Health Organization at the age of 30. In 1958, she returned to her motherland.
At that time, China was recognized as one of the most serious countries in the world. Moreover, once a leprosy occurs, it cannot be cured and can only be painful until the moment of death.
After returning to China, Li Hengying made up his mind to get the Chinese out of this suffering. The first challenge to meet her was to carry out leprosy antigen experiments.
After she went to work in the Central Dermatology Research Institute, she and her colleagues went through various difficulties and finally extracted the leprosy antigen.
However, the extraction is extracted. Whether this antigen is valid must be verified. At that time, Dr. Ma Haide, , was a consultant and said that he would do this experimenter.
However, Li Hengying decided to try it himself. Mr. Ma was moved by Li Hengying and injected her with two leprosycins.
A month later, nodules and ulcers appeared in Li Hengying's place of leprosycin, and finally scars were found. What is even more gratifying is that she has no adverse reactions.
1978, 57-year-old Li Hengying walked into a leprosy patient. She brought her medical team to Yunnan. The medical conditions in this place were backward at that time. Due to the obstacles of some local feudal ideas, patients with leprosy were not favored, so they fled themselves.
Because they cannot be treated for a long time, their illness is getting worse and worse. The skin of leprosy is morphologically damaging, including lesions , papules , nodules, plaques, infiltration, blisters, ulcers and atrophy. Skin accessories such as hair, eyebrows, and the sweat glands and sebaceous glands are destroyed, causing sweat closure and dry skin.
At that time, Li Hengying saw the patients he had seen were already very serious. These patients had been rolling their eyes from others for a long time and were also suffering from physical torture. Many times they were mentally numb.
They were not happy at all when they saw Li Hengying. Maybe they had met other doctors, but these doctors didn't cure them.
Li Hengying has a different existence. She came here to treat these patients and will definitely cure them.
But who would believe her? She was wearing thick protective clothing and thick gloves, and she looked no different from other doctors.
Li Hengying took off all the protective measures, and not only that, she also took the initiative to hold the patient's hand and carefully observed their wounds.
The patients who were discriminated against were all excited: Oh my God, this doctor is not afraid of leprosy!

In history, no doctor has dared to have close contact with leper patients, and Li Huanying is the first person.
Someone also asked Li Huanying: Are you not afraid?
She replied: All soldiers know that the war is dangerous, but will they still rush forward when they go to the battlefield?
Li Huanying tells everyone: Leprosy is contagious, but it is not an infectious disease that is imminent. Most people will not get leprosy, and early detection and treatment are the best way to prevent transmission and end disability.
After two years of daily life, Li Huanying's treatment gave Lefeng Village a new life. She gave the village a new name and danced Dai dance with people .
In 1985, Li Huanying expanded the treatment from three pilots to more regions, and cured patients did not recur after 10 years of testing. This huge success was promoted to the world in 1994.
In the past 40 years, Li Huanying has traveled all over the country and countless leprosy villages, allowing more than 100,000 leprosy patients to recover and live a happy life again, with a smile on her face.
Is Li Hengying really not afraid? Maybe she had struggled in her heart. But Li Hengying is also particularly clear. She has studied leprosy for so many years. She knows the torture and harm of this disease to patients, and she also knows how to help them get rid of the torture of the disease.
Therefore, what Li Hengying did was different from others, so she could help one leper after another recover and let them return to a brand new life.
Li Hengying is working diligently in this job for sixty or seventy years. She is indeed a leprosy fighter and a guardian of leprosy patients.
She did one thing in her life, but this thing saved tens of thousands of lepers. For this great cause, she ignored her happiness. She was unmarried and had no children in her life. However, the lepers she had treated regarded her as a recreational parent and never forgot about her.
Li Hengying was still on the road to leprosy in 2015. Every place she has been to and every patient she has cured loves her very much.
For thousands of years, leprosy has been regarded as the second only to syphilis . It is too late to avoid it. Li Hengying, a delicate woman who studied abroad, actually got entangled with it. She is so stupid!

Faced with the discussion, Li Huanying always smiled indifferently, but a voice in her heart became louder and louder: "Doctors should not hide their illness, curing and saving lives is a duty. Even if leprosy is more terrifying than a devil, I will fight it to the end!"
Li Hengying said this and did this. She devoted her whole life to this matter, and she has been doing this great thing until she was 98 years old.
On November 25, 2022, Li Huanying passed away in Beijing at the age of 101.
Such an excellent Dr. Li Hengying came to the world to treat countless patients, pay tribute to her, and will always miss her. This is the star we want to chase, the dazzling stars, what do you think?
