Recently, the Arthritis Surgery Center of the Orthopedic Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University was the first to complete a -day surgery for total hip replacement in the province . After the operation, the patient could walk on the ground the next day and completed the discharge procedures within 48 hours, marking the "day era" of rapid recovery with hip replacement in the hospital.

The patient, Mr. Luo, was injured by accidentally falling four years ago, resulting in a fracture of the left femoral neck. He underwent an internal fixation operation in a local hospital. After the fracture healed, the internal fixation nail was removed. Two years ago, Mr. Luo began to experience hip pain when walking, and the pain gradually worsened and limped. After going to the hospital for examination, it was found that Mr. Luo's left femoral head was necrotic , and femoral head had collapsed and deformed. Only hip replacement surgery can completely relieve the pain and restore walking ability.

The expert team of the hospital's joint surgery center, day ward, and anesthesia and surgery department cooperated efficiently.
