Yesterday, November 13, the press conference of the "China Hypertension Clinical Practice Guidelines" was held.

New version of the guideline downgrades the diagnostic threshold for adult hypertension in my country from the original systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg to systolic blood pressure ≥130 mmHghtml and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥80 mmHg (1B) .
This new adjustment may bring certain changes to our life and health, such as: patients with hypertension will increase in detail, and the number of people who need medication will continue to increase , etc. In addition, the diagnosis of will change in the same patient with . Why is this?
blood pressure level classification has been adjusted:
1 grade: systolic blood pressure 130-139 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure 80-89 mmHg;
2 grade: systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg (1B).

If a person's blood pressure was 131/81mmg, the old standard would not be diagnosed as hypertension, but according to the new guidelines and the new grade, this person is a patient with grade 1 hypertension.
For this new change, some people are originally "normal" and suddenly "get sick". They may not accept it all at once, and even have negative emotions, and they will feel that their lives increase medical expenses. But we need to see positive aspects. This new change reflects the importance of early intervention and can deepen our understanding of the harm of hypertension, be vigilant, actively control blood pressure, and do a good job in prevention and control.
For hypertension, the critical value drop is not only that we need to monitor our blood pressure levels regularly, but in fact, there are many things we can do in life.
1. Home blood pressure monitoring, once every morning and evening.
2. In terms of diet, replaces ordinary table salt with low sodium salt;
3. need to perform moderate or high-intensity aerobic exercise for 5-7 days a week, 30-60 minutes each time, and at the same time, 2-3 resistance strength exercises are performed every week.
Common aerobic exercises such as: brisk walking, jogging, swimming, bicycle, aerobics, rope jumping, etc.
