October 20, 2022 is World Osteoporosis Day . This year's theme is: Consolidate your life, "win" and fight fractures. On the occasion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, in order to improve the people's awareness of preventing and treating osteoporosis, promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of party history learning and education, and further implement the "I do practical things for the people", the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department of Nanchang First Hospital, the chairman of the Osteoporosis and Bone Mineral Salt Disease Branch of the Jiangxi Medical Association, held the 4-day free clinic for osteoporosis in the outpatient hall at 3:00 pm on October 20.
This free clinic activity was chaired by Hu Ling, chairman of the Osteoporosis and Bone Mineral Salt Disease Branch of Jiangxi Medical Association and director of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department of Nanchang First Hospital. It led a total of 8 medical staff from the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department, Nutrition Department, Bone Secret Testing Room, etc. to participate. At the
event site, Deputy Chief Physician Zou Yi delivered a health lecture on osteoporosis for citizens. The hospital's endocrine and metabolic technicians conducted bone density tests for more than 50 middle-aged and elderly people for free and conducted fracture risk assessments. At the same time, for people at risk of fractures, the department nutritionist has formulated personalized dietary guidelines for them to help them properly supplement nutrition and effectively reduce the risk of fractures. At the same time, many experts provide free expert consultation and medication guidance.
This free clinic activity further enhanced the citizens' awareness of health care for osteoporosis, enabled the general public to master the prevention of osteoporosis, improved the health literacy of grassroots people, and guided everyone to develop the correct concept of seeking medical treatment and using medicine.
