In order to thoroughly implement the " Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Law " and conscientiously perform the occupational health supervision functions, according to the work deployment requirements such as special treatment of occupational disease hazards, special rectification of dust and noise hazards, and "double randomization, one disclosure". On July 1, the Municipal Health Bureau organized a 2022 special rectification work meeting on occupational health in key industries and a training meeting on laws and regulations. More than 80 leaders and managers in charge of occupational health in key industries such as furniture manufacturing, building materials, and chemicals in Jianyang City participated. The
meeting reported on the occupational health administrative law enforcement work in 2021, arranged and deployed special rectification work on occupational health in key industries in the second half of 2022, and required relevant employers to specify designated personnel to be responsible, and to conduct self-inspections and implement rectifications according to the checklist. The meeting also provided training on occupational health laws and regulations for participants. The
conference emphasized that should first raise awareness and enhance the sense of urgency and responsibility for doing a good job in occupational health. The prevention and control of occupational diseases is related to the physical health, life safety and family happiness of the majority of workers. All enterprises must attach great importance to it, recognize the importance of occupational health work, adhere to the policy of giving priority to prevention and combining prevention and treatment, and vigorously improve the workplace environment , eliminate outdated processes, materials and equipment, actively carry out technological transformation and transformation and upgrading, and prevent and control occupational diseases from the source. Second, we must implement responsibilities and vigorously do a good job in occupational health work. "The principal person in charge of the employer shall be fully responsible for the prevention and control of occupational diseases in the unit." Each employer must formulate work plans and implementation plans for occupational disease prevention and control as required, and implement the "three simultaneities" of occupational protection facilities in construction projects, detection and evaluation of occupational hazard factors in the workplace, occupational health inspections, personal occupational protection of workers, and declaration of occupational hazard projects and other work to effectively improve the enterprise’s occupational health management capabilities and levels. Third, we must strengthen management and increase supervision and law enforcement. Municipal Health Bureau, as the administrative body of occupational health work, relevant departments (offices) should strengthen supervision, increase law enforcement, investigate and deal with illegal activities in accordance with the law, promote employers to implement the main responsibility for occupational disease prevention and control, improve occupational disease prevention and control capabilities, and effectively reduce occupational diseases occurrence, and protect workers’ health rights and interests.
