Hunan can be regarded as a province with the upper middle strength in my country, and GDP ranks among the top ten in the country.
is divided into regional economy, and Hunan belongs to the central region of . Although the central region is not an economically developed region in our country, Hunan can only rank third in the central region.
The central part includes six provinces, but the scope is still too large. It was initiated by Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces to establish the urban agglomeration of the Middle Yangtze River (hereinafter referred to as the Central Triangle), which became an important economy in the central and southern regions.
, and the middle triangle is benchmarked against Yangtze River Delta , Pearl River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Chengdu-Chongqing, and becoming the fifth pole of the country. Hunan will also play an important role in this.
From the map, Hunan's terrain is relatively regular, with a slightly shorter east-west and a slightly longer north-south, which is suitable for the development of a belt economy.
Hunan proposed three urban development axes to drive the development of the province
1 and Beijing-Guangzhou urban development axes. This is a north-south longitudinal axis, with the starting point located in the northernmost Yueyang City , passing through Changsha, Hengyang , and Chenzhou .
Beijing-Guangzhou Axis Hunan section is an important part of the Beijing-Guangzhou Axis nationwide. It includes three central cities: the first, main and second sub-district of Hunan. It is also the most densely populated and economically active area in Hunan.
Therefore, the Beijing-Guangzhou urban development axis is undoubtedly the most important axis in Hunan.
2, Chongqing Changxia Town Development Axis. This is an east-west inclined axis. The starting point of the eastern end is located in Changsha City, passing through four cities: Yiyang , Changde , and Zhangjiajie, and is basically located in the Xiangbei area.
Changxia is one of the eight main roads of transportation in my country. At present, the transportation links in Hunan Province are complete and are connecting to cross-provincial channels, which will play a greater role in the future.
3, Shanghai-Kunming and Shanghai-Kunming Urban Development Axis. This is also an east-west inclined axis. The starting point is in Changsha City, passing through Loudi , Shaoyang , Huaihua 4, and is located in central Hunan.
From the above three urban development axes, we can see several common features. First, they all pass through Changsha City; secondly, they all rely on transportation trunk lines, which is conducive to economic development.
Changsha is the provincial capital of Hunan, and it is naturally the core to drive the development of the whole province
Hunan proposed three urban development axes, which naturally wanted to promote balanced development in the whole province. But similarly, Hunan has also proposed a strategy of strengthening the provincial capital to support Changsha to further improve its primacy in the province.
In fact, Changsha's first position has been higher than the price. Continuing to improve is to further lead the city. So is Hunan going to strengthen the provincial capital or province?
In fact, these two are not contradictory. Changsha represents Hunan to participate in the division of labor in the national regional economic pattern. For example, in the central triangle or even the central region, Changsha's positioning is lower than that in Wuhan and Zhengzhou. Only by further enhancing its strength in Changsha can he have more voice and gain more development resources.
This is the fundamental reason why Hunan proposed to strengthen the provincial capital.
On the other hand, Changsha is also a part of Hunan Province, and the increase in the total economic output means the increase in the total economic output of the whole province. However, if Changsha has strong provincial capital, it mainly relies on the rest of the province to siphon, which is a process of growth and decline.
So Hunan’s focus is to make the whole province’s plates and make the cake larger.
So whether it is the urban development axis or the strong provincial capital, Changsha's core position cannot be replaced. Strong provincial capital and strong provincial areas are not opposite relationships, but complementary and mutually supportive relationships.
