Back then, Chairman Mao wrote an inscription for the newly formed People's Navy: "In order to oppose the invasion of imperialism, we must build a strong navy." From then on, the People's Navy has been extremely eager to have a world-class aircraft carrier to defend the territorial waters.
But it will take at least several decades to build such an aircraft carrier. Lieutenant General He Pengfei, the deputy commander of the Navy, was the son of Marshal He Long. He said: "If China gives up the 'Varyag', it will be a huge loss for the navy!" Taking the 'Varyag' is also the common idea of many naval generals. At this time, a sudden change occurred. Under the obstruction of some countries, Ukraine directly broke the contract and wanted to hold an international public auction.
