Han Zhao Emperor Liu Fuling
Emperor Zhao, whose name is Liu Fuling, was born in the 94th BC. He is the youngest son of Emperor Wu of Han Liu Che. His biological mother Zhao Jieyu . Because he lives in Gouyi Palace, he is called Gouyi Lady . Liu Fuling was strong and smart when he was a child. He was loved by Emperor Wu and wanted to make him the crown prince. But Mrs. Gouyi was young, and Emperor Wu was afraid that after his death, the young mother would be strong, and he would re-enact the rebellion of Empress Lu's usurpation of the country, so he was hesitant. In the 88th BC, Emperor Wu felt unwell and gave Mrs. Gouyi to die. Mrs. Gouyi dared not disobey and died in tears. In February of the 87th BC, Emperor Wu arrived in Fufeng (now Xingping County, Shaanxi Province) on a tour, and was seriously ill and could not return to Chang'an. He hurriedly ordered Liu Fuling to be the crown prince. Three days later, Emperor Wu died and Liu Fuling ascended the throne. He was only eight years old at the time and was assisted by the government by the Grand Sima General Huo Guang General Jin Richan, and the Left General Shangguan Jie 2.
During Liu Fuling's reign, he implemented Emperor Wu's policies. In order to revitalize the Western Han Dynasty, he continued to pursue light taxes and taxes, rest with the people, immigrate to farm and develop production; and sent troops to defeat the invasion of the Xiongnu and others on many occasions, strengthening the defense in the north. On April 74 BC, on the 21-year-old Liu Fuling died of terminal illness in Weiyang Palace in Chang'an. He reigned for fourteen years and was buried in Pingling (now northeast of Xingping County, Shaanxi Province). He was posthumously named Emperor Zhao.
