The first oil field in Daqing was discovered in 1959. After four years of experimental survey and mining, it was officially put into full construction in 1963.
The abundant output of Daqing Oilfield has successfully enabled our country to get rid of its over-reliance on imported oil in the era of rapid economic development and huge energy demand.
As of 2022, Daqing Oilfield has maintained an annual oil production of more than 10 million tons for 20 consecutive years.

Due to the continuous overflow of oil, asphalt mountains have been formed in this place, the largest one is already 13 meters high. This is the famous Heiyoushan Oilfield.
The revitalized Xinjiang Oilfield
Heiyoushan Oilfield not only has abundant reserves, but also has excellent crude oil quality. It is a precious low-pouring oil. And this is just the origin of oil exploration in Xinjiang.
In order to make full use of the Xinjiang oil fields, our government has also strengthened the infrastructure construction in the Xinjiang region while extracting oil.
In addition to the construction of oil exploration projects, our country has also simultaneously built oil transportation channels and a vast road network radiating from the oil fields in Xinjiang.
