patch Tuesday of this month marks the end of the official technical support cycle for the Windows 10 21H1 version, also known as the May 2021 update. All versions will no longer receive cumulative updates with bug fixes, security patches, and other improvements. Microsoft released Windows 10 21H1 in May 2021.

Patch Tuesday of this month marks the end of the official technical support cycle for the Windows 10 21H1 version, also known as the May 2021 update. All versions will no longer receive cumulative updates with bug fixes, security patches, and other improvements. Microsoft release - DayDayNews

21H1 version is a small-scale feature update with only two obvious changes: Windows Hello multi-camera support and Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG), and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC). Since Microsoft is busy preparing for the public debut of Windows 11, it does not provide new features for ordinary consumers.

Like all Windows versions released in the first half of the year, Windows 10 21H1 has received only 18 months of support. The successor of the 21H1 version, 21H2, will be supported until June 13, 2023.

Windows 10 21H1 is not the only version of Windows that is heading towards the sunset. Microsoft will soon stop releasing extended security updates for Windows 7 and completely stop the follow-up work on Windows 8.1. The company plans to end support for the two older Windows versions in January 2023.

Those who are still using Windows 10 21H1 should promptly upgrade to the updated Windows 10 version or migrate to Windows 11, which has received many new features and improvements. If your computer isn't ready to accept Microsoft's latest operating system and its controversial changes, Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2 are also ready, they don't offer new features or change hardware requirements, and the upgrade takes only a few minutes.
