The first reason is that when making clothes, the cutting sheets of each piece of clothing are cut on the fabric. During the process of processing and dyeing, some dyes and other chemical substances will be added to the fabric. If we wear new clothes directly, some chemical components on them may irritate the skin and may even cause itchy skin.
The second reason is that during the production and processing of clothes, each piece of clothing is combined by cutting pieces and sewing. After the ready-made clothes are processed, they are then cut, ironed, hung tags, and packaged, and finally sent to dealers across the country. These clothes are easily stained with dust, bacteria, and dirt. Therefore, newly purchased clothes must be washed before wearing them.
The third reason is that when we go to the store to buy clothes, we often try on them. If the clothes are not suitable, we will try on other numbers. Therefore, we don’t know how many people try on the clothes hanging in the store. Therefore, we must clean the new clothes we buy every time and then wear them.
After buying new clothes, we just need to do one step. We put the new clothes in clean water and soak them for half an hour. Some clothes will have printed patterns, and some clothes will also have a odor on them. Some friends will worry whether there is formaldehyde on the clothes, so we can use clean water to soak them.
Half an hour later, we rinse the clothes, because formaldehyde is a substance that is easily soluble in water. If there is formaldehyde on the clothes, after we soak, the formaldehyde molecules will slowly dissolve in clean water, so that formaldehyde can be easily removed. After washing, we can clean the clothes according to the usual methods. In this way, the washed clothes will be relatively clean, especially some close-fitting clothes. Before we buy them, it is best to soak them in clean water for half an hour, clean them before wearing them.
Like some new clothes with darker colors or new jeans, if placed in clean water, they may fade. Dark clothes with good quality may fade slightly, while if they are clothes with poor fabrics, they will fade more colors.
We can pour more edible salt into the water, stir evenly, turn the water into salt water, soak dark clothes with salt water, soak for an hour or two. This will not only remove formaldehyde, but also play a role in protecting and maintaining colors.
We soak dark clothes in salt water to prevent the clothes from fading to a certain extent, because salt can enhance the pigment molecules in the dye, better penetrate into the fibers of the clothes, and play a role in fixing and protecting colors. For some dark clothes, it still has a certain anti-fading effect.
If the color in the newly purchased clothes is dark, then it is best to soak the light-colored clothes separately from the dark-colored clothes. If the dark-colored clothes fade slightly, it will easily stain on the light-colored clothes, which will affect the beauty of the clothes.
