Why is there a difference between Xigu Village and Donggu Village here? It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, a Liuguan and Zhang Jieyi Temple was built at the junction of Xigu Village and Donggu Village. There were many people worshiping them back then, but unfortunately they were destroyed later. With this Jieyi Temple as the boundary, the village to the west is called Xigu, and the village to the east is called Donggu.
Guan Zhaohui is Guan Gong's 69th generation descendant (now passed down to the 73rd generation). He said that Xigu Village is a veritable village of Guan Gong's descendants. There is basically no surname Guan in Changping Village, Jiezhou now, but in Xigu Village, 80% of the villagers have surname Guan.

In the 23rd year of Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty (499 AD), Emperor Xiaowen passed away. Duke Mu died of illness the following year, and Guan Lang no longer participated in politics. After that, Wang Yan, the fourth generation ancestor of Wang Fuqi, lived in seclusion with Guan Lang with his teacher etiquette, and taught the "Spring and Autumn Annals", "Zhou Li", and "Book of Changes" for many years. Today, Beiguan Village, Nanxindian Township, Xiangfen County, at the foot of Gushe Mountain, is also the residence of the descendants of the Guan family. There is still a Qing Dynasty inscription recording Lang's seclusion in the place.

In the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1870 AD), the ancestor Guan Ruhan organized another re-revisation, which was passed on to 2013 and was in the hands of the descendants of Guan Xingang and other descendants of the 68th generation.
It is understood that the genealogy begins with Guan Longgong as the ancestor and Guan Gong (Yu) as the first life, and has been continued to more than 70 generations. The narrative in the genealogy shows that the descendants of the Guan family in Xigucun had five major clans, namely the Damen Fusheng Hall, the Second Gate Pingzhong Hall, the Third Gate Zhongyi Hall, the Fourth Gate Sihe Hall, and the Five Gate Doctors' Gate. From the records, we can understand that Guan Lang was once a famous Zhou Yi master. This is also related to the "Jiezhou Quanzhi": "Guan Lang, whose courtesy name is Ziming, has great economic power, and is extremely good at calculating. He is not seeking officialdom in the village. At the end of Wei Taihe, Wang Duo (Qiu) signed Lang as a record room. Lang did not serve in his office and lived in seclusion in Linfen Mountain to worship his hometown."
Guan Gong culture effective carrier
According to reports, descendants of the Guan surname in Xigu Village once built pavilions, sacrifice halls, , merit room, stone altar table , iron incense burner, as well as dozens of stone sheep, stone horse, stone people and other ancestor worship pavilions. The Guan surname in the village always worships ancestors on major festivals.
Unfortunately, the original cemetery pavilion was destroyed before the founding of New China , fortunately some of the tombstones have been preserved to this day. Among them, the tombstone with four large characters "Descendants of Guan Sheng" engraved in the middle of the stele and the tombstone with the words "The Tomb of Guan Gong, the Wei Ji Shi, the tomb of Guan Gong, the name of Lang, Ziming" and the nine-acre and three-minute cemetery are still well preserved.
We saw in Guanlang's tomb that the head of a stele carved by a dragon was engraved with four big words "Re-establishing the Monument" and the stone tablet next to it contained the words "Fifteenth Year of Shunzhi" and " The Qing Daoguang Sui", revealing a bit of the distant and long history.
As a descendant of the Guan family, the customs of the villagers in Xigu have always been relatively good. Guan Zhaohui said that not to mention Guan Gong's loyalty, righteousness, benevolence and courage, just saying that the villagers have abide by laws and regulations and live in harmony for so many years, this is better. Every year on Qingming Festival and the 24th day of the sixth lunar month, the village will hold theme worship activities related to Guan Gong or invite a troupe to sing a big show for the villagers. Some people in the village will also go to Jiezhou and Changping to participate in local memorial activities.
According to reports, in September 2006, descendants of the Guan family in Henan, Shandong and other places once came to Xigu Village to search for their roots and ask about their ancestors' genealogy. In 2007, the cemetery was listed as a "cultural relics protection unit" by the Salt Lake District Government. In April 2013, descendants of the Guan family of Xigucun went to the Longbu Tomb in Anyi to worship their ancestors. In August of the same year, Xigucun held a grand Guandi village patrol activity.
There is a temple commemorating Guan Gong in the village, built in 1997. The inscription clearly states that "the hometown of Guan Gong is in Changping, and the descendants of Guan Gong are in Western ancient times have been concluded." Guan Zhaohui said that Xigu Village is undoubtedly the "second hometown" of the Guan family .
