Preliminary design of railways is an important part of a railway project. It is based on approved feasibility study reports and is carried out on the basis of fixed measurements. The entire link not only includes preliminary design documents, but also pre-equity requirements such as environmental impact assessment, and requires bidding, which will be prepared and submitted for review by professional units. Therefore, the approval of the preliminary design is of great significance to the start of a railway.
Nowadays, many railways, especially not complex projects, have been carried out simultaneously in the preliminary design stage, and the construction drawing design approval and even construction bidding can be seen shortly after the preliminary design is approved. The preliminary designs of the 30 railways that I want to introduce to you in this article were approved this year, and half of them have been fully started or partially started.
Lu'an to Anqing Railway
1 and the entire line of Lu'an to Anqing Railway have been approved in the first half of this year. Construction has not started yet, but it should be no big problem to start construction before the end of the year. The railway is designed to have a speed of 250 kilometers per hour and has six stations including Lu'an, Huoshan, Huangwei, Yuexi, Qianshan and Anqingxi.
2. The preliminary design of the Jiangsu Huaian section and Anhui section of the Ninghuai High-speed Railway was approved in the first two years. This year, the Nanjing section was approved, but the project has only started construction in advance and has not yet been fully started.
3. The preliminary design of the first phase of the urban (suburban) railway project (excluding the cross-river section) from Nanjing to Yizheng Line (including the Yangzhou extension line) has been approved this year. At present, the Yangzhou section has undergone civil construction bidding and is scheduled to start construction in December.
4. The construction bidding began shortly after the preliminary design of Ningwu Railway expansion and renovation project was approved this year. It is planned to start the entire line at the end of this month, with a planned construction period of 4.5 years.
5. The construction bidding was carried out in less than half a month after the preliminary design was approved this year. At present, both the Anhui section and the Shanghai-Ningxia section have entered the substantive construction stage.
Xiangjing High-speed Railway
6, Xiangyang-Jingmen High-speed Railway has completed all aspects of the project feasibility study, preliminary design, construction drawing design, construction bidding and other links this year, and the entire line has been started.
7. Although the preliminary design and construction of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-speed Railway in Wuhan to Yichang was approved last year and the preliminary design from Hankou to Hanchuan was approved this year.
8. Nanchang to Jiujiang Passenger Dedicated Special Co., Ltd. is also the preliminary design approved this year. It is currently in the construction stage with a construction period of four and a half years and is expected to be completed in 2027.
9. The Guangdong section of Ruijin-Meizhou Railway has started construction, and the Jiangxi section has been tendered for pre-station project construction, and construction is planned to start at the end of November.
10. The intercity railway between Suzhou and Huzhou in the east has approved the preliminary design of the Huzhou section ( Nanxun to Changxing ) this year. At present, the project's preliminary project - the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway Super Bridge under construction has been under construction, and it is expected to officially start in December.
11. The remaining Quzhou to Songyang sections of Quli Railway, which have not started construction, have also approved the preliminary design this year, but construction bidding has not yet begun.
Airport high-speed rail
12, Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Station hub and wiring project only approved the preliminary design of the southern section of Haining Guanchao Station (inclusive) this year. The full line has not yet started construction, and only part of the construction has been started.
13. The preliminary design of the Jiashan-Xitang urban railway was also approved this year. The SG2 section of the civil engineering construction project between Jiashan Station and the China-Singapore Industrial Park Station has started construction.
14. The Jinshan-Pinghu urban railway approved the preliminary design of the Zhejiang section (Dushangang-Haiyan section) this year, and construction has been started.
15. The Tianjin-Weifang high-speed railway has been approved for the preliminary design of the entire line. The first sections of the Dongying Yellow River High-speed Railway Bridge, the Tianjin section Jingu Haihe Tunnel and other sections have been started, but the entire line has not yet been fully started.
16. The preliminary design of Jibin High-speed Railway this year must be approved before the Tianjin-Wei High-speed Railway, and construction has been officially started.
Xiongshang High-speed Railway
17. Except for some construction hub projects from Xiongan New Area to Shangqiu High-speed Railway, all other construction projects have been started.
18, the five projects of the "one ring and one ray" of the Guangdong-East Intercity Railway have all been approved and officially started this year.
19. The preliminary design of the section of Foshan West Station to Guangzhou North Station of the Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Line was also approved this year and has been started.
20, the preliminary design of the Zhuhai-Jiangmen section of the Zhujiang-Zhaoxi High-speed Railway and the Gaoming-Zhaoqing East section have been approved in August and September this year, but the full line has not yet started construction.
21. The Shenzhen-Shenzhen-Shanshan Cooperation Zone Railway has completed the preliminary design approval this year and started construction bidding. It is planned to start the entire line at the end of this month.
22. The Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway from Chongqing to Wanzhou approved the preliminary design at the beginning of this year and has been fully started.
Yuxi High-speed Railway
23, the preliminary design of the Ankang to Chongqing section of the Chongqing High-speed Railway has also been approved and construction bidding has been carried out, and the entire line is planned to start construction in the end of November and early December.
24. The construction bidding began not long after the preliminary design of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway Chengdu Tianfu to Chaoyang Lake section, and construction is planned to start at the end of this month.
25. The preliminary design of the entire line of Xicheng Railway was approved this year and the full line was started.
26. After solving the environmental impact assessment problem of the Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway finally approved the preliminary design this year and plans to start construction at the end of this month and early next month.
Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway
27, and Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway approved the preliminary designs of the Chengdu-Dazhou South (inclusive) section and the Dazhou South (excluding) to Wanzhou section respectively in the middle of this year, and construction has been started.
28, Shanxi section of Xiongxin High-speed Railway, etc. have started construction, and the Xiongan New Area to Baoding section is scheduled to start construction in December.
29. The preliminary design of the Chongli to Xilinhot section of Taixi Railway has been approved this year and is expected to officially start construction in early 2023.
30. The construction bidding started a few days after the initial design of the Harbin-Tieli section of the Harbin-Tieli section of the Harbin-Iraq High-speed Railway this year. It has officially started construction and the construction period is four years.
