Comparison of new and old standards

Customs shall conduct on-site inspection, risk assessment, qualification assurance and other measures and combination of conformity assessment methods for imported food contact paper and cardboard materials and products in accordance with relevant inspection procedures, standards and control instructions.

For imported food contact paper and cardboard materials and products or labels and instructions on the labels and instructions on their sales packaging, they should use standard Chinese characters, but do not include trademarks, and should also meet these requirements: 1. The product name, material, name, contact information and address of the country or region of production, and the importer; 2. Products used within a time limit shall clearly indicate the service life in a prominent position; 3. Products that are easily damaged by the product itself or may endanger personal and property safety shall have applicable conditions, warning signs or Chinese warning instructions.

At the same time, the 12360 Customs Hotline reminds consumers that when purchasing food contact paper, you should pay attention to:

1. The packaging is intact. Choose food contact paper products with intact packaging and within the shelf life to prevent the product from being contaminated by bacteria and mold due to damage to the outer packaging and expired products. The hygiene cannot be guaranteed.

2. Complete identification. The following important information cannot be missing: product name, material, name, address, contact information of the producer and (or) distributor, date of production and shelf life (when applicable), "food contact", "food packaging" or similar terms or spoon chopstick marks (except products with clear food uses). When shopping online, check the product inspection report and the manufacturer's production license information as much as possible. The enterprise production license number is composed of the capital Chinese pinyin "XK" and 10-digit Arabic numeral code.

3. Prevent misuse. Pay attention to the use method, precautions, use, use temperature, etc. of the product, and try not to use disposable paper products to hold high-temperature fried food for a long time. Kitchen paper, napkins, toilet paper, etc. are not food contact papers, so do not use these non-food contact papers to treat food.
