2022 is coming to an end, and the new year 2023 is coming. There have been a lot of things in the world at the end of 2022, so what may happen in 2023? I think many people want to know, although we still don’t know what the future will be. But on the Internet, there are some prophecies about famous prophets about 2023. So what is his prediction for 2023 and what is the essence of his prediction?

French doctor, astrologer and prophet Nostradamus is famous for his rhyme quatrain prophecy. His book Les Propheties (published in 1555), which houses 942 poetic quatrains that allegedly predict future events. Nostradamus was born in France in 1503. He started as a doctor and began his career as a doctor in the 1530s, although he did not receive a medical degree. He began prophecy around 1547 and published his prophecy in a book called Centuries (1555). He wrote his prophecy in four lines: the four lines of rhyme. Quatrains are divided into hundreds; each group of 100 four-line poems is called a century.
These quatrains were published in a book called Les Prophéties (The Prophecies), and the responses were mixed after publication. Some people think Nostradamus is fake or lunatic, while some obviously don't think so. The wife of King Henry II of France Catherine de Medici (Catherine de' Medici) is one of the most admired people of Nostradamus. She was even invited to the court of Queen Catherine de Medici of France to formulate horoscopes for her children . Many supporters of Nostradamus believe that he successfully predicted many things, from French Revolution to World War to 911, etc.

So what kind of prophecy does Nostradamus have for 2023?
predicts that World War III will occur in 2023 - Nostradamus wrote in his book: Seven months of the world war, people died of evil deeds. Rouen, Everler will not fall into the hands of the king.
predicts the climate crisis - forty years, the rainbows have disappeared. Forty years, it has been seen every day. Dry land will become drier, and there will be a flood when you see it. While these lines may suggest a series of disasters, mentions of “drought” landscapes and “great floods” do point to the impact of global warming . However, "forty years" is a mystery. Hopefully, these climate crises will not occur in 2023.

What is the essence of Nostradamus prophecy?
Nostradamus wrote in Middle French popular in the 15th and 16th centuries and added other languages such as Latin and Greek . His tendency to write with obscure metaphors and obscure references, which also blurs his work, and no known Nostradamus quartz is interpreted as predicting a particular event before it occurs, except for the vague general terms that can be applied to some events. There are even many so-called Nostradamus prophecies on the Internet now, which people added later.
The most famous Nostradamus prophecy on the Internet in recent years was that he predicted the 911 incident. This is a story that was widely circulated at the end of 2001 and is still well-known today. Especially the so-called poems spread on the Internet: in the new century and nine months, a king of terror will appear in the sky... the sky will burn forty-five degrees. The fire approaches the great new city… York City will collapse, two twin brothers torn apart in chaos, and the fortress collapses, the great leader will surrender, and the Third World War will begin when the big city burns.

A more detailed version about 9.11 is flooding the Internet: It can be predicted that just three hundred and fifty years later, the Silver Phoenix will be killed. The oppressed twin brothers carrying the kingdom will bring apocalypse. The city of Gods is thunder, and the two brothers are torn apart by chaos.
Did Nostradamus predict the bombing of the Twin Towers in New York? Look at his true prophecy: He did not say "in the new century and nine months", but "a surprisingly powerful king who fell from the sky in 1999 and seven months" (Century 10:72). There is no mention of the "twin brothers" being "teared".The prophecy actually means that “two royal brothers will fight each other” (193:97).
There is also a popular version of prophecy on the Internet: there will be great thunder in the City of God, two brothers torn apart by chaos, when the fortress lasts forever, the great man will surrender, and the Third World War will begin when the big city burns. It turns out that the first four lines were indeed written before the attack, but were written by a Canadian graduate student named Neil Marshall in 1997 as part of a research paper. Research papers use this poem as an illustrative example to illustrate the effectiveness of prophecy is often exaggerated. For example, phrases such as “City of God” (New York has never had the title of “City of Angels”), “Great Thunder” (which may apply to many disasters), “Two Brothers” (many things appear in pairs), and “Great Man Will Success” are so vague and meaningless. The fifth line was added by an anonymous Internet user, and this sentence completely ignores the rules of writing Nostradamus in rhyming four-line ten-syllable poems.

It is precisely because Nostradamus wrote his four-line poem in such a vague language that people can read anything they want from it. In addition, people wantonly modify Nostradamus's original poems on the Internet, resulting in many versions of Nostradamus' prophecy. In short, Nostradamus's prophecy is actually not accurate. Many so-called prophecies are realized due to later generations' misinterpretation or far-fetched translation. The above is what we have today. I am Huo Zongjun, see you next time.
