Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Textile Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Provincial Institute of Textile Sciences)
In June 1956, the Northwest Textile Management Bureau established a scientific research group to specialize in scientific research. In August 1958, Shaanxi Textile Sciences Institute was established on this basis. The new office located in Baqiao Textile City was built in 1967, with 8 research rooms including electrospinning , spinning, woven, dyeing and finishing, electromechanical, products, physical tests, and intelligence. Since 1971, entrusted by the Ministry of Textile Industry , he has undertaken the task of "National Cotton Textile Technology Information Station" and is responsible for editing and publishing "Cotton Textile Technology". In 1978, the Ministry of Textile Industry determined that the institute was one of the key local research institutes in the country. From the founding of the institute to 1989, 160 research projects have been conducted. From 1973 to 1988, a total of 64 scientific and technological achievements were identified and 45 scientific and technological awards were won. Among them, there are 6 national-level projects, 18 ministries and provincial-level projects, and 21 provincial-level and municipal textile industry company-level projects.
1989, there were 266 registered employees in the institute and 138 cadres, including 122 professional and technical cadres, accounting for 88.4% of the total number of cadres. Among professional and technical cadres: senior engineers, 19, accounting for 15.57%; 72 engineers, accounting for 58.91%.
1989 has 10 intelligent departments, 7 research rooms, 1 physical laboratory and 3 production workshops.
