Procuratorate filed a criminal civil public interest lawsuit

WeChat chat records show that as early as December 2019, Yang Ying knew that there was something wrong with this tea. sells "sweet-reducing tea" to Yang Ying, and the case is still under trial.
On June 17, 2021, the expert consultation letter for medical issues issued by Beijing Medical Association confirmed that improperly taking foods containing "glibenide" and "metformin" will cause up to 11 kinds of harm to the human body and people with special constitutions, including the possible consequences of hypoglycemia, hypoglycemia shock, liver and kidney function damage to the human body, and may cause allergic reactions, hypoglycemia poisoning or lactic acid poisoning to people with special constitutions.
"Yang Ying sells sugar-reducing tea not just for the sake of interests. The character of the 'miracle doctor' she created is to satisfy her vanity." Wang Peilin, a prosecutor of the Dongcheng District Procuratorate of Beijing, who was in charge of this case, remembered that once she was inquired about Yang Ying, her stomach was not very comfortable. On July 28, 2021, the Dongcheng District Procuratorate accused Yang Ying of suspected sales of toxic and harmful food and filed a criminal and civil public interest lawsuit.
On January 18 this year, the Dongcheng District Court held a public trial of the case. On January 26, the court made a first-instance judgment on the case, adopted the criminal facts alleged by the procuratorate and sentencing recommendations. In order to safeguard the public interests of society and support criminal and civil public interest litigation, Yang Ying was found guilty of selling toxic and harmful food, and sentenced him to to years in prison and fined 200,000 yuan.
