From September 23 to 25, the first China Science and Technology Forum National Major Needs Sub-forum, hosted by China Science and Technology Association , Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Association , Shandong Provincial Department of Education , and Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and co-organized by Shandong Youth Political College , Shandong Sports College , and Shandong Sports College were held in Jinan.
China Science and Technology Youth Forum is a forum activity with science and technology youth as the main participants. The forum is divided into stages such as work collection, preliminary evaluation, special sub-forum, general forum, and application of results. It will be committed to building a platform for young talents to exchange views, share their experiences, and collide their thoughts, so as to better focus science and technology on solving major national needs and "bottleneck" technical problems, and use youth to serve major strategic needs with wisdom. The first forum activity widely mobilized nearly 3,000 young scientific and technological workers across the country to submit entries, covering many cutting-edge scientific and technological professional fields such as electronic information, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, biomedicine , modern agriculture, and four special sub-forums were established, held in Beijing, Chongqing, Jinan, Shandong and Zhuhai, Guangdong.
At the Jinan event site, after layers of screening, more than 70 young scientific and technological workers from key scientific research enterprises and institutions at home and abroad and universities used a combination of online and offline forms to share their own vivid content in solving key national technical problems, promoting scientific and technological achievements and market transformation, and had on-site exchanges and interactions with an evaluation expert team composed of well-known academicians and industry experts. Among them, some of them resolutely gave up their high-paying jobs from other places after graduating from their doctorate. They have been paying attention to oil exploration business on this land for a long time and used innovative technology to "find oil for the country"; some have followed amber to "travel" microscopic and macroscopic billions of years, solved fossil puzzles, explored the origin and evolution of biology, and driven the basic scientific research of my country's biological evolution to be at the world's leading level; some have struggled to the front line of production of shellfish algae seedling breeding, carry out work based on corporate problems, put their sweat on the front line of breeding, and devoted their youth to the development of the national aquaculture industry. During the forum, young scientific and technological talents were also organized to carry out a variety of special activities such as visiting red footprints and physical fitness testing, building a platform for learning and communication for young talents.
It is reported that the China Science and Technology Youth Forum will also focus on strengthening the application of results, and will sort out and refine the important theoretical views and key opinions and suggestions that have emerged into special reports and submit them through relevant channels. Outstanding contestants will receive diversified follow-up support and tracking services in talent plans, project support, commendation and recommendations, etc., to help them stand out as soon as possible and contribute their youthful wisdom and strength to promote high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement.
