The three-month-old 2022 International Children and Youth Friendly Exchange Art Competition·China-Mexico Friendship Mexico Invitational Competition- Wuxi Special Competition has come to an end. Today (August 20), the special competition award ceremony and the opening ceremony of the painting exhibition were held grandly.
International Children and Youth Friendly Exchange Art Competition originated in Shanghai. By connecting embassies and consulates of various countries, it builds a bridge of artistic exchanges between children and youths from various countries, and promotes friendly cooperation in art and humanities exchanges between China and other countries and regions in the world. .
It is understood that Wuxi Special Competition is organized by the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai, Hongqiao Overseas Trade Center Cooperation Promotion Association, Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce Shanghai Representative Office, Wuxi Xishan District Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and Wuxi Xishan People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Hosted by Wuxi Huiju and supported by Wuxi Huiju.
Hundreds of children participated in the competition, and 51 gold medal winners and 97 excellence award winners were finally selected. In 2022, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico, the competition organizing committee teamed up with the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai to build a traditional Mexican-style building in Wuxi Huiju. The internal exhibition is themed on the living room of a Mexican family, and the award-winning works of the competition are presented in the form of hanging paintings, photo frames, furnishings, etc., supplemented by the surrounding Mexican market, hoping to present an immersive art feast of China-Mexico friendship to the people of Wuxi.
Some of the gold medal works exhibited this time have rich and diverse themes, including "China-Mexico Friendship", "Caribbean Scenery", "Mexican Folk Fairy Tales", "Mexican Architecture", "Mexican Food", "Mexican Dance", " "Mexican Traditional Crafts", "Coco" and many other sections; at the same time, some works of Mexican children were also exhibited, realizing artistic exchanges between China and Mexico across time and space.
