Today, the bidding announcement for the "Design Service Project of the West Coast Wetland Construction Project (Xihua, Guanyinshan South, and Guanyinshan North Wetlands) Off the Sea of Dianchi Lake" was released. An additional 1,538 acres of wetland will be added on the seaside of Dianchi Lake .

According to the announcement, the total investment of the project is 438.0911 million yuan to build three wetlands in Xihua, Guanyin Mountain South and Guanyin Mountain North. Among them, Xihua Wetland occupies 46.22 hectares, Guanyin Mountain South occupies 33.37 hectares, and Guanyin Mountain North occupies 22.99 hectares. The total number of wetlands constructed through this bidding is 1,538.7 acres.

The wetland along the Dianchi Lake is accompanied by the Dianchi Lake Greenway. It draws lessons from the Erhai Lake Ecological Corridor. The greenway and the lakeside ecology are in harmony, forming a green necklace around the Dianchi Lake. .

By the end of April, the Dianchi Greenway section around Caohai and the section from Haigeng Park to the three peninsulas have been basically connected; the section outside Dianchi Lake is planned to be fully completed by the end of next year. Therefore, although the bidding announcement does not give the implementation time of the project, judging from the fact that the wetlands are coordinated with the greenway construction, the construction and completion dates of the wetlands should be very tight, and it is estimated that it will not take long. Three new wetlands will be added to meet the public.

In March last year, the province clearly included the Dianchi Lake Ecological Corridor project into Kunming's ten key projects, building the Dianchi Lake Ecological Corridor to high standards, and turning the Dianchi Lake coast into a "big ecology, big wetland, and big scenic spot."
