In-depth analysis of Press-Fit technology and material applications###
In recent years, Press-Fit technology has been more and more widely used in the manufacturing of electrical systems in automobiles, energy and other markets. What is Press-Fit technology? What are its application advantages? What are the performance requirements for alloy materials that meet Press-Fit technology?

01
PressFit technology introduction
Press-Fit is also called "fisheye terminal". This technology is an alternative solution to soldering installation. The electrical contacts are reliably connected mainly through the welding-free method of cold connection. The fisheye end is pressed into the PCB hole, and a high clamping force is obtained through a small pressing force. During the press-in process, the fisheye end produces elastic deformation , and provides a tight connection with low contact resistance and high reliability.
Simply put, Press-Fit creates an electromechanical interconnection without soldering, allowing the connector to be quickly installed on the PCB module. The elimination of the soldering process not only reduces the connection impedance, but also further reduces production costs and assembly time.

Press-Fit technical advantages
Compared with traditional welding, PressFit has many advantages:
l When crimping, the PCB and components will not generate thermal stress, and the impedance is small
l Small insertion force, high clamping force, between Press-Fit and PCB The contact area forms a tight connection
l It has no solder bridging, no flux residue, no need to clean, and to a certain extent avoids tin whiskers , cracking, non-wetting and other problems caused by welding
l Reusability, environmental friendliness
l Easy to assemble, Easy maintenance, simplified module replacement
