"War Zone" column contacted the Public Affairs Department of the 509th Bombing Wing equipped with B-2 bomber for comment, which admitted that B-2A was damaged in the accident.
The unit said: "A B-2A bomber, , failed in today's routine flight. After successfully completing the emergency landing, the aircraft was damaged on the runway of Whiteman Air Force Base . There were no casualties. After the plane landed, the fire broke out and the base fire department put out the fire. The accident is under investigation."
