September 30 this year is the ninth Martyrs' Day in my country. In order to commemorate the achievements of martyrs and promote the spirit of martyrs, this morning, our district held a public memorial for the martyrs' Day. Leaders of relevant district departments, representatives of veteran soldiers, representatives of retired soldiers and student representatives, a total of more than 100 people came to the Martyrs' Cemetery in Hunnan District to participate in the event.
In the autumn of the martyrs' cemetery of Hunnan District, pine and cypress, birds chirping, the martyrs' monument is towering under the blue sky, and the heroes in the green tomb are lying forever. The flowers were neatly decorated and solemn, and the people present were in order, and people expressed deep condolences to the heroes with respect.
At 10 a.m., the host of the public memorial event and Director Cao Gang of the District Veterans Affairs Bureau bowed to the Martyrs' Memorial and announced the commemoration of the public memorial. The majestic national anthem kicked off the public memorial event. Minister Wang Shangfei of the District People's Armed Forces Department read the memorial service and stood in silence to express his respect and remembrance. After the silence, the Young Pioneers lined up in an orderly manner and sang " We Are the Successors of Communism ", demonstrating the lofty ambition to inherit the glorious traditions of the revolutionary ancestors. The student representative then spoke, calling on the majority of young people to inherit the spirit of heroes and cultivate patriotic sentiment of "loyalty to the country, remember the heroes, and never forget the kindness of the party." Director Chen Yong of the District Education Bureau said on behalf of the cadres of the agency that every martyrs' anniversary is an awakening of the memory of the country and a inheritance of the great spirit. The spirit of heroes is like an endless torch, guiding hundreds of millions of people to forge ahead and gathering the tremendous power of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At the end of the event, etiquette personnel presented flower baskets to the martyrs' monument. The leaders of relevant district departments stepped forward to organize a book with a ribbon elegiac couplet that "revolutionary martyrs will live forever". The music was low and lingering over the cemetery. All the people lined up with respect, stepped forward in turn to present flowers and paid tribute to the wall of heroic reputation of the martyrs.
At 11 a.m., the public memorial service ended.
"Only heroes can produce heroes, and only by striving to be heroes can heroes emerge in many ways." Looking back is for eternal commemoration, and remembrance is for better progress. This public memorial activity inspired the majority of cadres and the masses to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, forge ahead, and stand up without hesitation at the critical moment of the needs of the Party and the people, interpret loyalty with responsibility and fulfill their mission with practical work.
