The lottery ceremony was held on June 28, 1947 in the Great Hall of the Allied Forces Headquarters in Tokyo. The Chinese Navy Colonel Ma Dejian and Yao Yu participated in the lottery on behalf of the Chinese government.
A total of 92 ships were allocated, including 24 destroyers and 68 coastal defense ships.
On August 13, 1947, the Allied Headquarters added the remaining 39 auxiliary ships to the distribution list, which is the fourth batch of draws.
