"Your end is coming soon!"
On January 26, 1935, in Daxian County, Sichuan, after shouting these words before his death, Mou Yongda, an outstanding member of our party, died heroically at the age of 30.
Mou Yongda, also known as Mou Jiaolian, was born in 1905 in a well-off family in Pujiachang, Da County, Sichuan (now Dazhou).
At the age of 17, Mou Yongda entered the "Suishi United Middle School". In school, Mou Yongda read progressive books and periodicals, accepted new ideas, and participated in the strike struggle of "fighting for national power abroad and punishing national traitors at home" and boycotting Japanese goods.
In addition, Mou Yongda once beat up the "eldest young master" Fan Shaozeng, who was known as "Commander Ha'er" on the street. At this time, Mou Yongda had officially embarked on the road of revolution.
However, because Mou Yongda's ideas were too radical, the principal was worried that he would have a bad influence on the school, so he was expelled!
From then on, Mou Yong traveled around Sichuan, Chongqing and other places. During this period, he suffered hardships, but his revolutionary belief remained unwavering.

In 1924, 19-year-old Mou Yongda entered Nanjing Legal School on the recommendation of his elder brother, and a year later went to Shanghai to study.
On the way to study in Shanghai, Mou Yongda was fortunate enough to meet Chen Shuren, who was then Minister of the Workers' Department of the Central Committee of the Kuomintang of China, Secretary General of the Guangzhou National Government , and Acting Governor of Guangdong Province.
Under the introduction of Chen Shuren, Mou Yongda joined the Communist Party of China and officially became a glorious Communist Party member.
After that, Mou Yong was ordered by his superiors to engage in revolutionary activities in the Zhabei and Wusong areas of Shanghai.
In 1926, Mou Yongda was forced to flee Shanghai and return to Sichuan due to the traitor's informant. He became a teacher in Daxian County No. 5 Senior Primary School.
Although the revolutionary process was very difficult, Mou Yongda and his comrades never complained from the beginning to the end. Even though Mou Yongda is now in deep trouble, he is still actively contacting and attracting some outstanding people with lofty ideals to participate in the revolutionary torrent.
While in school, Mou Yongda, together with his brothers Mou Yongzheng, Jiang Ren'an and other progressives, secretly engaged in the peasant movement, developed the Communist Youth League member organization, and actively promoted communism.
Through the unremitting efforts of Mou Yongda and others, the revolutionary seeds they sown in Da County finally began to sprout.

In 1928, Mou Yongda used teaching as a cover, and together with his brother Mou Yongzheng, he collected enemy intelligence for the organization, and actively organized a farmers' association in the Pujiachang area to mobilize farmers to resist donations and rent. They also opened night schools to promote new revolutionary ideas to farmers.
Because Mou Yongda's actions seriously endangered the interests of Sichuan warlord Liu Cunhou, he was wanted.
After that, Mou Yongda moved to Chengdu and continued to engage in revolutionary activities.
At the end of 1933, Mou Yongda followed the instructions of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and returned to Daxian to persist in the struggle behind enemy lines. Here he secretly organized the "Green Clothes Society", which was mainly responsible for reconnaissance of the enemy's situation, transmitting intelligence, and raising weapons and ammunition for the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area.
In June of the following year, Luo Juntong, deputy division commander of the Sichuan warlord Fan Shaozeng's department, arrested Mou Yongda and imprisoned him on the charge of "formerly serving as vice chairman of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet."

In order to force Mou Yongda to confess, Luo Juntong used a series of tortures, such as "sitting on the tiger stool", "hanging duck in water", "burning eight tubes of flowers" and so on.
Although the enemy's cruel methods caused great physical and mental harm to him, Mou Yongda never surrendered from beginning to end, let alone revealed any information about our party.
The extremely vicious enemy saw that these tortures could not make him surrender, so he tied an iron oil barrel with a fire to his body, fanning the fire while interrogating him, just like the "torture with cannon" used during the period of King Zhou of Shang .
Mou Yongda was scarred by the torture of the enemy and was dying, but he still did not reveal a word.
All kinds of torture were exhausted, but nothing was obtained. While the enemy admired Mou Yongda's tenacity and unyielding spirit, he also felt extremely angry!
Since you can’t get it, don’t keep it! Finally, the enemy decided to execute him!

On January 26, 1935, Luo Juntong personally interrogated Mou Yongda!
During the interrogation, Luo Juntong ordered Mou Yongda to kneel down, but Mou Yongda always stood up and refused to kneel, and shouted at Luo Juntong: "Your end is coming soon!"
This scene shocked everyone at the scene! While Luo Juntong was furious, he also had to be afraid of three points.
Later, Luo Juntong asked someone to take him all the way to Nanheba in the county seat, where Luo Juntong executed him personally.
Before leaving, Mou Yongda's relatives used 30 silver coins to bribe the jailer and asked someone to take a photo of him as a memorial to his family.
In this way, the heroic image of a Communist who wore shackles and handcuffs, stood firm and died calmly, will forever remain in the hearts of the world. Mou Yongda's indomitable and unyielding revolutionary spirit will surely remain immortal.
Later, Mou Yongda’s heroic photo was used as a revolutionary education textbook and was exhibited in Daxian, Dabashan and other places, inspiring generations of people.

In fact, there are many heroes like Mou Yongda in the history of our party, such as the familiar Li Dazhao, Zhao Yiman, Deng Zhongxia, Liu Bojian, Jiang Zhujun (Sister Jiang), etc.
Each of them can be called a "capitalized person". The heroic and fearless revolutionary spirit in them is worthy of respect and learning from each of us.
At the end of the article, let us pay our highest respect to these glorious revolutionary martyrs!
