November 27, 2022 At 20:23 on November 27, 2022, my country successfully sent the remote sensing satellite into the predetermined orbit at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center , using the Long March 2 D carrier rocket , and the launch mission was a complete success. The remote sensing satellite launched this time was developed by the Fifth Academy and the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The Long March 2 D carrier rocket that performed this mission is a normal temperature liquid secondary carrier rocket developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It has a take-off thrust of about 300 tons, corresponding to a 700-kilometer solar synchronous circular orbit capacity of 1.3 tons. It has single-star and multi-star launch capabilities required in different orbits of the three major satellite launch centers of Jiuquan , Taiyuan and Xichang.

Since its first flight in 1992, the Long March 2 D carrier rocket has successfully launched 70 consecutive times, successfully sending 171 satellites into the predetermined orbit. In recent years, the continuous success under high-density launches has benefited from the continuous optimization of the model management system and the model team has always adhered to the "six strict" work style. The models are planned and laid out in advance, and the leapfrog development of the annual launch task through batch production, de-modeling, de-task-based investment in full-time testing and dispatch teams, and the continuous optimization of the launch site workflow in combination with technological improvements, etc., are calmly responding to the leapfrog development of the annual launch task number.

This launch is the 176th launch of the Long March series launch vehicle developed by the Eighth Academy, and it is also the 451st launch of the Long March series launch vehicle.
