He said that entering a new era, China's aerospace industry has achieved historic achievements. Taking the launch of the launch vehicle as an example, in the decade since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's aerospace has carried out 274 launches. In the five years since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we have carried out 192 rocket launches, accounting for 43.2% of the total number of rocket launches in the Long March series.
It is these achievements that have promoted my country to fully build a major aerospace and become a powerful aerospace power. This year, my country will build China's space station . Currently in space, the space station has completed the transfer of the Wentian cabin at the end of September, waiting for the Mengtian experimental cabin to rendezvous and docking with it; on the ground, the Mengtian experimental cabin, the last cabin of the "T" font configuration of the space station, has now completed the propellant refueling and docking with the launch vehicle. All preparations for the Long March 5B launch vehicle used for launch are currently normal. At the end of this month, the conditions will be met to launch Dream Cabin to implement rendezvous and docking. At the end of this year, the Tianzhou 5 cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft will also be launched to enable 6 astronauts to work at the space station at the same time.
Wu Yansheng said that entering a new journey, we will make efforts and innovate in the following aspects: First, further improve our country's ability to enter space. The greater the ability of a launch vehicle, the greater the stage for aerospace development. To this end, the active launch vehicles will be updated and a new generation of manned launch vehicles and heavy launch vehicles will be developed, so as to make China's aerospace development stage bigger and better.
Second, we will continue to implement major aerospace projects. For example, manned lunar exploration, construction of lunar scientific research bases, Mars sampling and return, and asteroid exploration will be implemented. Through these major projects, the Chinese people's pace of exploring space can take more steadily and further.
Third, we will accelerate the creation of a source of original aerospace technology in China. The China Aerospace Science and Technology Innovation Research Institute was established, and the investment in basic research was increased, focusing on strategic, cutting-edge and disruptive fields such as artificial intelligence , advanced detection, advanced materials, and advanced power to make breakthroughs to lead the development of aerospace. At the same time, it also contributes more aerospace wisdom, aerospace solutions and aerospace power to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
