Xinhua News Agency reporter: According to reports, recently, 700 officers and soldiers from the eighth batch of peacekeeping infantry battalions in South Sudan (Juba) and 86 officers and soldiers from the second batch of peacekeeping and helicopter teams in Abyei were awarded the United Nations " Medal of Honor " to commend Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers during their peacekeeping missions and their contributions to the cause of peacekeeping in South Sudan. Wang Wenbin: The eighth batch of peacekeeping infantry battalions in South Sudan (Juba) and the second batch of peacekeeping infantry battalions in Abyei and the helicopter detachment were deployed to the mission area in December and November last year. They completed more than 400 tasks, which were highly praised by the local people and fulfilled China's mission and responsibility to safeguard world peace with practical actions. This year marks the 430th anniversary of China's first established " Blue Helmet Force" to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping operation.
