On September 18, 91 years ago, the Japanese invaders created the September 18th Incident that shocked China and the world, becoming the starting point of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and at the same time opened the prelude to the world anti-fascist war. On September 18, 1991, people who love peace raised the national flag and sang the national anthem to commemorate the martyrs and pray for peace. On the morning of the same day, the Memorial Hall of Compatriots in the Nanjing Massacre of Japanese Invaders held the theme education activity of "Remembering History and Don't Forget 918 " in the public memorial square.

The veteran fighter of the War of Resistance Qin Huali participated in the Red Army Long March. His daughter Qin Zhihong is now a volunteer for the explanation of Jiangdongmen Memorial Hall . On that day, Qin Zhihong came to the event site and looked at the raised five-star red flag with tears in his eyes. She said that she would continue to be a good explanation volunteer and let more people know about the arduous history of the War of Resistance of the War of Resistance among her fathers. Deng Xintian, the granddaughter of Duan Yueping, former deputy director of
Memorial Hall, participated in the event. Duan Yueping personally experienced the Anti-Japanese War when she was a child. The descendants of the survivors of Nanjing Massacre Ge Daorong and Ai Yiying ring the bell of peace. Ge Daorong's son Ge Fengliang said: "September 18th, a day when all Chinese people are deeply engraved. On this special day, we come to the memorial hall to review the history of the War of Resistance and commemorate the victims. At the same time, as the first inheritor of the historical memory of the Nanjing Massacre, I have the responsibility to take over the baton, shoulder the important task of inheriting the historical memory of the Nanjing Massacre, and protect the roots of the national spirit."
Ai Yiying's son Huang Xinghua said that this year marks the 85th anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre tragedy. As a descendant of survivors, I will pass on the historical truth with practical actions, turn patriotic enthusiasm into a driving force for self-improvement, and maintain hard-won peace.
New City Primary School students Wu Bunu and Duan Xinmiao participated in the event as representatives of primary school students. "A young man is strong, China is strong!" They said that the young generation should not forget history, cherish peace, work hard to learn skills, and contribute their own strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
At 10 a.m., the entire city of Nanjing sounded the air defense alarm. In the memorial hall public memorial square, the visitors stopped to observe silence to mourn the dead. On that day, there were much more citizens visiting the memorial hall than usual, and many of them came here, both young and old.
